In addition to raising auto fuel efficiency standards 40 percent, an energy bill passed by Congress yesterday bans the incandescent light bulb by 2014.
President Bush signed the 822-page measure into law today after it was sent up Pennsylvania Avenue in a Toyota Prius hybrid vehicle. The House passed the bill by a 314-100 vote after approval by the Senate last week.

More money from China for Hillary. Who’s side is GWB on? Maybe his retirement from Texas and now the Presidency isn’t enough.

Why isn't the headline more accurate?
Bush Signs Bill Banning Incandescent Bulbs
The president could have
pocket vetoed this thing and it would have to be an issue next year. There is nothing in the constitution that automatically passes the bill just because the Congress voted 2/3 in favor initially. I could be wrong; so please show me where it is written otherwise.
Even assuming I am wrong on that. Bush still could have vetoed it and forced the Congress to override. He'd do it on conservatively cautious grounds from his bully pulpit.
But Noooo!
Can the complicity of the Prez with the watermelons and the statists really be that openly brazen and have nobody loudly calling him on it?
Are we really that screwed?

You can get incandescent light bulbs rated for 25,000 hours that are used by the hospitality industry. If you use them for an average of 7 hours a day theyll burn out in just a little under 10 years and cost about a buck or less per bulb depending on how many you buy.

Once you stock up all youll have to do is watch out for the light bulb police wholl be monitoring everyone who might be using those unauthorized, evil incandescents!
