Its -21 down in the tropics where I am near Big Lake. For the outsiders that about 50 road miles north of Anchorage, maybe like 35 as the raven flies.Lots of aftershocks is good, lets off the pressure so to speak, now it would be worth looking into any new volcanic activity.
I heard Anchrage had an actual negative temperature reading this morning. This is a good thing. But you have to pity those at Prudhoe who have to fix the pipeline in this. Must be -40 there with wind, and dark, too.
.....With Cormack, Ladue and MacDonald ......
Actually it is Carmack, George Carmack.
Last winter I told a business associate I was going to the Klondike and he volunteered that his uncle made the Klondike discovery and had a town named after him. The town is Carmacs Yukon.
I visited the site of the original strike on Bonanza Creek and Carmacks and panned for gold a short piece upstream from the Discovery site.
5.9 and 6.2 aftershocks about 11:30 pm Thursday evening (last night)
