It is bad enough that Huckabee's son would hang a dog, slit it's throat and stone it all for sport. But the worst part for Huckabee, is that he tried to cover up the crime and fired the cop that wouldn't go along with the cover up. I heard on the radio that Huckabee is now defending the act of torturing the dog to death by saying that it had "mange" so it was a mercy killing.
I can imagine the conversation, "Dad today we found a dog with a minor skin condition, normally treated with a topical ointment, but we didn't have any ointment, so we hung it, cut it's throat and threw rocks at it until it was dead." "Good for you son, and don't worry about the cops, they work for daddy."

I wonder how Huckster will respond to this one. Probably just say the guy is a disgruntled Clinton Machine left over that he canned.

Never mind, I read the original article. He was 17 and a boy scout camp counselor at the time and place. Not good.

If true, that’s appalling. Then to defend such behavior by saying it’s a mercy killing....I’m at a loss for words. I’m hoping that maybe the story may be exaggerated, though, I find it hard to defend cruelty to any animal.

I hope this isnât true but in the US, you can lie, steel, deceive, slander, cheat and manipulate but hurt a dog and your toast.

I just thought huckster was a lying POS but now it seems to spread to his family... and his wife must have been complicit in the cover up of this heinous crime. This family is evil... this family is corrupt... and huckster leaves a pattern of getting certain people that commit heinous crimes a pardon... or keep the case from ever being prosecuted. They grow them evil, corrupt and lying in hope! I'd bet for the right amount of $$$ old huckster could be bought and paid for by the highest bidder!

First I heard of this was this morning when Mike Gallagher and Bob Beckle were discussing it on Fox & FRiends.
His son is a sick individual....and it will affect Huckabee's campaign. In Middle America there isn't anything much worse than mistreating a dog
