Scientists have found at least one natural magma hotspot under the Arctic island that could be pitching in.
God forbid they go out on a limb if it debunks GW.

You mean there are actually still NATURAL geologic, oceonographic and meteorologic events occurring on the planet?
Who’d uv thunk it?

In recent years, Greenlands ice has been melting more and flowing faster into the sea a record amount of ice melted from the frozen mass this summer, according to recently released data and Earths rising temperatures are suspected to be the main culprit. But clues to a new natural contribution to the melt arose when scientists discovered a thin spot in the Earths crust under the northeast corner of the Greenland Ice Sheet where heat from Earth's insides could seep through, scientists will report here this week at a meeting of the American Geophysical Union.
The behavior of the great ice sheets is an important barometer of global climate change, said lead scientist Ralph von Frese of Ohio State University. However, to effectively separate and quantify human impacts on climate change, we must understand the natural impacts too.
Ralph, be careful, you are about 5 seconds from being thrown under the bus by the Global Warming Crowd!

Since the manmade-global-warming debate began, I’ve contended that we don’t know enough about magma hotspots (especially under the oceans) and possible magma shifts to rule magma out as one of the top two (sun=#1) causes of surface-level temperature changes.
Glad to see the idea receiving further attention.

This can’t be.
Everyone knows you can’t have volcanoes and icefields in the same country!

Magma may be melting Greenland ice Nope. No way, no how. Haven't you heard? The debate is OVER. There is a CONSENSUS among scientists. Man is causing Global Warming, which is in turn melting the Greenland glaciers, among others.
It's too late to be coming in here willy nilly with some new "evidence" to the contrary.
