Patrick Green and Robert Rothe told WBAL TV 11 News that they were antagonized and attacked after boarding the No. 64 bus late Monday night in south Baltimore.
The men, who are white, said the attackers yelled racial slurs and that no one on board, including the driver, stepped in to stop the attack. MTA surveillance cameras captured four men boarding the bus at the Hanover Street stop Monday night, moments before Green and Rothe got on.
Green and Rothe said they believe other passengers were afraid to help and that the driver refused to call for help.
"We were saying the whole time to the driver, 'You need to help us, call the police,'" Green told 11 News reporter Kerry Cavanaugh. "He said, 'I can't. I'll get in trouble.'"
Roth said the driver closed the door and drove away, even though the attack continued once they got off the bus.
"We could've been left on the side of the road, dead," Rothe said.
MTA officials said the driver of the bus is currently not operating a vehicle while the incident is being investigated.
MTA officials said they're not currently classifying the incident as a hate crime. They said they're simply calling it a common assault.
Green and Rothe said they're mad it took MTA officials three days to release photos of the suspects.

In a similar incident, Sarah Kreager said she suffered broken facial bones and other injuries after she was punched, kicked and dragged off a bus Dec. 4. Kreager's companion, Troy Ellis, was also attacked, but not beaten as severely.
That incident is still under investigation.
Unfortunately, Illinois is almost as bad as Britain, where self-defense is a crime. Illinois is not there yet, but it’s close.
The bigger clues to you were the time, the place, the behavior and the purpose the group appears to have. Those were all negative. Your concern legitimate.

It was about three years ago that Baltimore prosecuted a white business owner for sleeping in his business and shooting a couple of black felons (surprisingly called "youths" by the scumpaper) who were repeatedly burgularizing his establishment. I can't remember the outcome, but I think he was found not guilty.
Well in Baltimore you would be judged by 12 white hating blacks.

It's the official democratic party line. How many politicians do you think would get elected if they came out and said:
"Listen you lazy worthless welfare sucking a$$holes. The reason you don't have the price of a case of beer is that you don't work, you drop out of school, you get pregnant at age 12, you stay drunk or high most of the time, and you expect that the world owes you a living. Well it doesn't, and if I had my way you'd work or starve, and by God if I'm elected you'll do just that."
Instead Democrats (and many Republicans) get elected by exploiting the basest of human emotions ENVY. "It's not your fault. Your great great great great great great great grandparents were slaves. You're disadvantaged. The fortunate have all the money. We don't tax the rich enough. The rich don't pay their fair share. If I'm elected I'll start univeral health care. Health care is a right. You're disadvantaged. Etc. "
Well guess who the "rich" are. Those evil "fortunate" rich are the whites who have that all too white work ethic. So naturally they're hated in Baltimore.
The truth is that being on a bus is the safest place to be in Baltimore.
True, but self defense is not officially a crime in GA. GA is a "must issue" state, so you can't be prosecuted for carrying a gun like you could in MD. In addition there was a spate of carjackings a few years ago. The legislature passed a "kill the carjacker" law where you can't be prosecuted for killing a carjacker (much to the vocal outrage of the local fishwrapper and black churches). And surprise, the carjacking epidemic tapered off. In ga it's legal to carry a loaded gun in your car in the glove box, the console or in plain view without a license.
There is a different attitude. MOST (but not all) people here white or black don't have all that much sympathy for criminals. We have our black professional race baiters who make a living fomenting race hatred just like everywhere else (the Urinal/Constipation's editorial page editor Cynthia Tucker for one.) In fact there was a group that was up in arms because the DeKalb police shot 11 black criminals this year. Near as I can tell every one of the shootings was justified. But, on the whole criminals do not get slapped on the wrist and turned loose to continue their crimes here as often as further north.
Baltimore doesn’t appear to be a city to visit.
Shows you diversity doesn’t work; except to incite. But, maybe that’s what our politicians really want. A bloodbath.

Baltimore and other places are becoming Gaza and those in charge will not see it. Eyeless....
We also have the “Stand Your Ground” law brought on by road rage incidents. Those too have declined.
