We also have the “Stand Your Ground” law brought on by road rage incidents. Those too have declined.
Another reason (as if another reason were needed) not to live in the north.
Oh any any of you notherners thinking of moving here. YOU WOULD HATE IT. REALLY. People here have guns. We don't worship the police or the government (or at least most of us don't). We think speed limits on the expressways are a joke. We don't have snow (or as it turns out any precipitation). We prefer getting in our vehicles to taking public transport. We still slightly prefer freedom over the government's false promises of security. Most people here if given the choice of a free years subscription to the New York Times or a six pack of coke would take the six pack of coke. New Yorkers and other yankees, you will really feel uncomfortable here Oh and did I mention people here have guns? (Fellow Georgians, did I do a good enough job?)
