COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - The man who killed four people at a church and missionary training center died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound, police said Tuesday.
Matthew Murray, 24, was struck multiple times by a security officer at New Life Church Sunday but died after firing a single shot at himself, the El Paso County Coroner's Office concluded after an autopsy.

Same happend to one of the two perps in the North Hollywood shootout. Heavily armed and armored, once out of ammo (full-auto uses it up in a hurry) and hit several times by cops, he wandered away and offed himself.

Could have been that the security guard aimed for the torso. Several shots there would likely have been fatal given time. But he decided to end it quickly with a gun to his head.

I wondered about this when there was early references to him having a “jammed pistol”: without getting into gory details, semiautomatics don’t cycle properly when the user is the target.

The man who killed four people at a church and missionary training center died of a self-inflicted shotgun wound, police said Tuesday. How did the "assault rifle" suddenly turn into a shotgun? All reports I saw so far, estimated he had close to 1,000 rounds of ammo. If that is so, it wasn't shotgun shells. That would be two cases of ammo.

Coming at this purely from a mans perspective here ...Actually, my experience is that, when it comes to brass tacks, women are far more ruthless than men and much less likely to lose sleep over it.

II could find the obligatory web posting by some idiot asking why she didnt just shoot the gun out of his hands. Well, you know, that is what the Lone Ranger or Roy Rogers would have done. Superman would just bend the barrel in half. :-))

That would be 4 flats of shotgun shells (10 boxes x 25 shells per flat.) About 20 lbs per flat.

Ok. I guess that means that what she did doesn't count, or worse, it is all her fault that he had to commit suicide! I hope a sarcasm tag isn't necessary here.
LOL.. I can see that headline too.

Remarkable to me that these guys do what they do so they will have “fame.” After they’re dead, it’s not like they are going to enjoy it!

Not only that, but [Heaven forbid] should the situation ever recur, she won’t have to worry about her ability to respond. She will know she will respond ‘without shaking hands.’

The news said she did in fact hit him several times. Of course you never know if what they say is accurate. She obviously believed in gun control - sight picture, sight alignment, trigger squeeze...

The other way of looking at it is that the police, having realized that this woman had a dismissal against her, decided to make her “Prosecution-proof.”

How embarrassing for the Minneapolis PD. They fired the only cop
they had that actually stops crime.....
Listening to some of the IN-FREAKIN'-CREDIBLE political correctness
that my brother encountered in The Twin Cities while getting his
grad degree at the UM-St. Paul campus...
...I fear you may really have hit upon the truth.

So, the kid had two pistols, a high-powered rifle, 1000 rounds of ammunition in magazines. Where did the shotgun come from? That is what I want to know too. Apparently the high-powered rifle must have been a quick change to shotgun.
I don't think I need a < /sarcasm>

MSM is already looking back at Jeanne Assams time as a police officer. Apparently, she lied about a particular incident with a truck driver she had pulled over, costing her some sort of disciplinary action. Im sure by weeks end shell be completely and utterly eviscerated by the MSM.
I absolutely knew this was coming. They bring up dirt on everyone but themselves. I literally dislike them.

Wait, did they fire her or not? I thought she was a security guard...?

“Then come spring some hikers found the two with bullets in their heads -
supposedly they killed themselves, not too sure of that, either way,
it was a good ending to the story.”
Or they bragged about their excellent little adventure in cop-killing
to the wrong person.
One that decided the courts would take too long to deliver justice.
