Yes he is. It’s just that nobody cares.

I too find myself warming to Mitt. Not my favorite, but I could support him.
Do you think Romney could win MI against HRC in the fall? I don’t. And no one thinks he could win MA.
This is nice. I wasn’t voting for Huckabee anyway, just another reason not to. I’m still dissapointed that Duncan Hunter hasn’t been able to make more noise and standout in this race. Rep. Hunter is a real conservative that so many are clamoring for, yet others get more press despite being moderate and even liberal-leaning in their positions. A Thompson/Hunter ticket (or visa versa) would seem to be an ideal conservative challenge to the deranged liberalism/socialism oozing from the Democrats.
So it’s hopeless for a true conservative who lives in a blue state to run for President, even if he has the record to prove it? Is that what you’re saying?
“the former Arkansas governor loses to Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York by 10 percentage points (54 percent to 44 percent), to Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois by 15 points (55 percent to 40 percent) and to former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina by 25 points (60 percent to 35 percent).”
Fred Thompson ‘08!
(Or at least someone with a _chance_ to beat the Dems!)
Right. We have plenty in Sodom on the Potomac and one in the White House.
That's a myth. If he has what it takes to do the job, the American people will know. It won't matter what the conventional wisdom is. This myth has only been perpetrated for about a hundred years. Trends change.
NO, the poll was just of the top four at the time the huckster had about 6 %, where he should be today.
Gephardt thought otherwise too. So did Mo Udall, Phil Crane, Jack Kemp, and several others.
My mistake.
Still, the fact that no one pays any attention to him is more a failing of ours than his.
You’re supporting Duncan Hunter (the best candidate in the field), who’s polling at around 1%. Nobody seems to care about him, either. Should he be ridiculed, too?
Wow — Thompson doesn’t even warrant mention anymore. He’s down in the ghetto with Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo.
By that logic lets roll up the tent and get Mr. Campaign Finance reform Johnny Mac in there the polls say hell do the best.
I have no clue why you think Huckabee would not od as good in the debates against Hillary as anyone else given he is more than holding his own against the GOP.
Hillary’s biggest political weakness is the fact she is just not likable. She is a shrill *female dog*, Huckabee could exploit that in spades..
6%? You just picked that number out of the air, didn’t you?
Take a look at this: http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSN2645320920071127?feedType=RSS&feedName=politicsNews&rpc=22&sp=true
That’s the poll I was talking about. Here’s the quote:
“Clinton, a New York senator who has been at the top of the Democratic pack in national polls in the 2008 race, trails Republican candidates Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, John McCain and Mike Huckabee by three to five percentage points in the direct matches.”
Actually, he is. In fact, he'll be in the presidential debate tomorrow with all the other candidates.
He's already on the Republican ballot in CA, WA, UT, OK, AL, FL, NH, CT, MO, GA, TN, at least, with more coming in every week.
Your comments about the good Doctor, and the actions of his critics, are greatly appreciated.
Wow what a pathetic post...
You do know that you have a posting history right
“The Clintons, AKA the media keep trying to fly a candidate past the GOP primary voters.....Huck is the latest, almost comical caricature of this kind of a candidate. I have faith the primary voters, (NOT pollsters!!) will see thru him......”
Apparently you did understand “the obviously synthetic Huckabee phenomenon” long before now...
True. The only two that could beat her on a superficial level are Rudy and Huck. If it comes down to who is most "sociable", similar to a high school prom election, I'll pick Huck. Sadly, it looks like that's where most of the sheeple are coming from.
I actually agree with you. Huckabee’s amiability would reveal Hillary for the witch that she is.
