What Would Free Republic Do If Fred Thompson Is Not The Republican Nominee? (Vanity)

It is very obvious that Fred Thompson is Free Republic most favorite candidate and by far. On the other hand every other top tier Republican candidate, Guiliani, Romney, Huckabee, and McCain are absolutely disdained by most Freepers. Therefore this is the important question:

What would Free Republic do if Fred Thompson is not the Republican Party Nominee?

Next time, before inserting your foot in your mouth by barking “jackboot”, try taking your medications. Folks like you are the threats decent folks need to be aware of. Now, we are.

“Just hold your nose and vote R one last time, and next time we’ll put up honest conservative candidates. I promise”

With sugar on top, no take backsies?

We'd go to local graveyards with mallets and oak stakes.

LOL, and call Ghostbusters while yer at it!

The establishment’s fascination with diplomacy is thoroughly bipartisan madness. Everyone believes in the power of peace processes. Everyone is immobilized by a fear of “encouraging radicals.” Once in a while a mainstream figure hints that he can see the world as it is. Rudy isn’t one of them.

Hillary’s formal proposals may differ in tone from Rudy’s. That is the extent of the distinction. It is a distinction without a difference.

There is no reason to believe that our Arab and Persian War would go better with Rudy in charge than with Hillary. Neither one of them understands that the war is ongoing, let alone how to prosecute it. This confusion is the norm among our leaders of both parties. As a result, events will control the next President, the President won’t control events.

This sad state of affairs is largely George Bush’s fault. It is puzzling that you can praise GWB’s foreign policy as the Bush doctrine lies in ruins in the immediate wake of the ludicrous Annapolis conference. Our foreign policy is unfocused and our policy making and executing institutions (especially the CIA) are working for the wrong side.

There is every reason to believe that Rudy would perpetuate Bush’s failures. Ironically, Hillary would too.

A pox on both their houses.

No, it was Allen’s pathetic, endless apologies that he made after he uttered the word, that did him in, DCP. All Allen had to say that he meant “macaca” to mean a “pest”, which the jerk was, and not back down. Thompson would *never* be trapped in a virtual paper bag by reporters. He is far and away a superior candidate to Allen. BTW, I was for George before his disastrous Senate campaign. Blessings, Bob
