It is very obvious that Fred Thompson is Free Republic most favorite candidate and by far. On the other hand every other top tier Republican candidate, Guiliani, Romney, Huckabee, and McCain are absolutely disdained by most Freepers. Therefore this is the important question:
What would Free Republic do if Fred Thompson is not the Republican Party Nominee?
How are you going to do this?
Agree with you. And if FR goes 'third party'; it will be courting a Repub disaster that will far surpass any scenario imagined; even one that requires holding one's nose to vote.
“Below is from George Washingtons Farewell Address!”
‘Tis a pity but the Republicans don’t believe in such antiquated ideals.
If you want, you can write in “Bullwinkle.”
LOL! Not Jimmy...no way. Maybe Dubya Clinton...but we've done alright for the past 16 years with those two...haven't we?
Cheers!
The answer is obvious.
Yeah slick, I do.
If these criminals were so great; Mexico would be building a wall to keep them in.
Mexico wants to purge them and you want them here.
I am right and you are wrong. So is Tinklebee.
He will support the nominee.

I was just asking if it can be done.
Lots (not most) saying they will vote for Thompson or Hunter in November too, even if not the nominee.
They can do that, even if Romney is the nominee, which I hope. Thompson or Hunter might be VP selectee. Frankly, if I was Romney, I would go with Hunter. There would be at least an outside chance at California and Hunter would know the state’s issues. Tennessee would not be in doubt.
Very well, then my point was that one can't expect Conservatives to stay in the Republican Party if it no longer stands for Conservatism...
Anybody but Rudy!
Normally I would say they were not Freepers, but I have noticed it as well. I usually say they are foolish enough to buy into the MSM reports that keep driving that false impression. Suckers (even some Freepers) take that crap in and eat it like honey.
Absolutely. But if Hunter is the nominee, he’s safe to vote for. Not the other RINO bozos, though.
I guess we get to the crux of the issue then: Where ya gonna go?
I won't vote for Romney just because Hunter is his VP... In fact, that would only leave me less likely to vote for Hunter next time around..
