COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.

For those who know the area, I was just surfing the area on Google Earth and I read on one of the tags just NE of the church that there is a target range associated with a community college nearby. Could the additional shots reported to have been heard come from that target range? That is if the Google earth tag is correct.

You're probably thinking of those Iranian "IED's", which aren't improvised at all. Those are prefabricated and shaped to penetrate armor. That would be wasted effort here, since the targets are soft.

In this situation, I'd guess that we're talking about bombs made from cleaning supplies you'd find in your garage.

Well- the churches are roughly 60-70 miles apart..and after the shooting this morning they lost track of the perp- and there’s nothing to show at this point that the shootings are related..
