“I dont like seeing someone killed over property.”
I know where you’re coming from, and I don’t blame you a bit.
Life is too short to wait years before you can replace what some low-life steals from you. And then you don’t know that they won’t do it again.
To heck with them.
The news is reporting that football player Sean Taylor’s murder was a robbery gone bad. Regardless of the intent, Taylor is still dead. I hope that Mr. Horn’s attorney can draw the parallel here and protect him from a justice system that too often displays outrageous sympathies for the criminals. I think Mr. Horn was justified and I think that the cops need to realize that his house could have been next on the criminal’s shopping list.
My 'property' is a portion of my lifetime. It cannot be 'replaced', ie. the many hours missed of the growth of my children were traded for that 'stuff'. For anyone too lazy or self centered to spend their time earning, and instead chooses to risk life & limb by taking in five minutes what I may have spent five years to acquire is pure EVIL and should be dealt with accordingly...my .02...
B) Nor do I believe it is appropriate to prosecute someone who uses deadly force to protect himself or his neighbor's property.
Mr Horn should be fined for reckless discharge of a firearm inside city limits.
Well said SWAMPSNIPER. The illegals want to impose a tax on us without representing us and without even being elected. This is something that many Americans fought and died for. We should not just give that up as some pundits here would argue.
