It was a cold winters evening. The guests had all left. OLeary had closed the bar.

The honor roll was chilled, mighty thin and included only:
Chief
Lurker Bill
Trooprally (Mr & Mrs)
kburi formerly known as Lurker George,
Ron G. Kirby (GOE)
.
Pasquale
and
Coby from Veterans for Freedom
Four lefty losers froze their butts carrying their signs Home Now, Bring them Home Now, a sign with an illegible screed and one person who carried the American Flag.
They also had lit three candles so that officially made their gathering a vigil.
Grace, Courtney and Paul, three students from Bullis School who volunteer Fridays from 6 to 8:30 PM at Mologne House, stopped to satisfy their curiosity about who and why we were outside the Main Gate of WRAMC every Friday night. They feared that people dont seem to care and they said it was nice that we were present. They also wanted to know if they could join us. They wanted to do more to demonstrate their support. I told them they would have to dress warmer (Grace was in sandals). They promised theyd be back next Friday with their own signs. Although Graces dad thinks shes crazy, I think shes terrific.
BillF likes to relate the fact that wounded heros have told him they really appreciate our presence. Others have told of troops stopping by to shake hands and thank us. These anecdotes are a blatant attempt to encourage you to come out and show your support. But nothing we can do or say is going to make that happen. Either you are going to do it or your not. Certainly Ive found reasons to skip out and I live just down the road. Its not easy and now the weather will be against us. So stay home or not; there is no try, only do.
It will be alright, the Trooprallys will be there even though they have a loved one in the Baltimore VA hospital, counter demonstrate against the Olney Quackers on Saturdays, volunteer at the American Legion and Montgomery General Hospital. Lucker Bill has got you covered; so its OK. Our wounded heroes will understand that you have stuff to do. All I ask is that you keep our military in your prayers, after all theyre securing that right for you.

To review prior AARs go to
BufordPs BIG LIST OF ALL WRAMC FReeps
Do you mean at Walter Reed? Or are you and JVB "just meeting for lunch"?
[Mr] T
thank you for that update.
It should be understood that our monopoly of those four cornes can be immediately defunct if....
I only have ONE qwexion:
1) how come nobodies wearing shorts?
2) What’s up with that?
If you define "shorts" as boxers vs. briefs, several are indeed wearing shorts.
Thanks for bumping or posting to this ongoing story, FRiends!
We think of you when we're out there waving to the troops!
BTTT
Buuump!
What a welcome report!! I will be there Friday as usual waving and snapping pic’s and thanking our Troops when they come out that gate. What is great is when they come out and thank us for being there for them.
OOORAH!!
[Mrs T]
We (Maximus Ridiculousness and I) tried to get down to WRAMC in time, but we spent much longer than expected at the Purple Heart Hall of Honor in New Windsor, NY and USMA. A truly breathtaking display at the Hall, in addition to its historic grounds.

It was our first time back east together and just too many things to do with so little time.
We hope to get back there again one day, and if the FReeps are still rolling, you can bet we’ll be there.
Thank you for braving the cold night air, and ensuring the troops know that we DO understand the type of support they need and want.
Thank you for doing the AAR, JVB!
And thank you to everyone who was able to show up this time. I know it was difficult to get out.
Much appreciated!
Tom
