I would like to know if you are going to vote in the November 2008 election even if your candidate does not win. Will you stay home if you don't like the Republican candidate?
Another thing that I have often wondered about is whether people actually stay home when they are disheartened. News commentators often say that some voters may have decided to stay home because they were not happy with the candidates. I think that is a mistake because even if you do not like the person at the top of the ticket you should at least vote for the other candidates. Have you every actually stayed home and not gone to the polls at all because you were not happy with a candidate?
There is a point at which one has to select the lesser of two evils.
I already helped to “Perot” this nation once, and I will never do that again.
How many times to I have to say this President GHW Bush did not say - no new taxes, he said - no nude Texans.
This is incentive for everyone, no matter what state they live in to vote against Hillery. It could force Kalifornia vote to go to the Republican! How embarrassing would that be?
My objective is to defeat the Democrats. I am a one issue voter.
I am disillusioned with the Bush Administration and the Republican Congress. But the Democrats are lightyears worse than the Republicans. To save our beloved nation, we must defeat the Democrats.
My objective is to vote the Democrats out of office!
A bad republican is still better than a good democrat. Most of the time.
I just hope that all the repubs don’t sit out like they did in the mid term elections and let the dems take the white house.
Of course ... anything to stop Hillary!
In view of all the “Of course!” answers, I will, like cripplecreek, distinguish my answer by adding that I will write in my candidate’s name, if needs be.
“I will take a golf club to the head of any whiney Republican that tell me he is going to stay home because his candidate isnt in the general.”
These are the same ones who stayed home in 2006 “to teach the Republicans a lesson”. Speaker Pelosi & Majority Leader Reid—some lesson!
In November, 2008, I will vote for any of the realistic GOP candidates except Rudy. If Rudy wins the nomination, I will not just stay home. I will vote AGAINST him.
**************
So if it’s Rudy against Hillary, you will vote Hillary?
I’ll vote for Hunter or Tancredo. I will not vote for ANY RINO, ANY baby killer, ANY gun grabber, nor will I vote for anyone who has uttered the words “pathway to citizenship”. If such is the nominee, I will write in Hunter.
LIBERAL RUNOFF = Rudy vs. Hillary. No thanks.
Big words for such a young one. If you HAVE to think about it, do yourself a favor, and DO stay home. The choices are very clear, and if you're going to be a one-issue voter, then don't waste your time.
I’ll write in a candidate before I sell my soul and vote for a RINO. But I will show up, and I will vote.
I don’t think Hillary will win the nom.
But you will be voting for an abortionist. A big one. You just told us that you’d throw the election to Clinton.
I was eager to cast my first vote as soon as I hit 18 and I did that in 1977. Hard to believe this is my 30th anniversary as a voter. I have never missed a single primary or general election in that time. It is remarkable to me that anyone does not vote!
As far as voting for president goes, that could be tough. I almost certainly will support the GOP nominee but maybe without that much enthusiasm.
That's the point where you know for a fact that you're now living in the kingdom of evil.
Forgot to add, I haven’t missed an election since 1972, my first, when I was 18.
Seems it hasn't been learned...
The only vote wasted is the one not cast.

The important thing is not to capitulate before the primaries are over!
DON’T HAND IT TO RUDY!!!!
