Are you going to vote in the November 2008 election no matter who wins the Republican primary?

Posted on 11/25/2007 5:29:03 PM PST by cradle of freedom

I would like to know if you are going to vote in the November 2008 election even if your candidate does not win. Will you stay home if you don't like the Republican candidate?

Another thing that I have often wondered about is whether people actually stay home when they are disheartened. News commentators often say that some voters may have decided to stay home because they were not happy with the candidates. I think that is a mistake because even if you do not like the person at the top of the ticket you should at least vote for the other candidates. Have you every actually stayed home and not gone to the polls at all because you were not happy with a candidate?

No, the lesson hasn’t been learned.

Indeed, and your post is proof thereof.

We don’t discuss politics either, when we see each other at all, but I’m sure I’m the only Republican voter.

Yeah, right, I stay home and the entire election goes to Clinton. As I said, MD always goes blue, my vote won’t change that, so why bother choosing between two abortionist gay-rights advocating gun-grabbing surrender monkeys?

Well, taxes and party affiliation (think influence), for two.

Yes. It will be voting for sure, regardless.

If the GOP is a sellout RINO on the three top issues of importance (which means there is only a difference in "degree" to a Democrat), you will see AIT's vote, absentee at that, show up as a Third Party Conservative vote or a write in, probably for John Bolton.

Easy. At least we'll have a Republican Party willing to stand for conservative principles. As a long as we have a enough votes to stop a cloture vote,,,,a staunch conservative Party can filibuster can stop anything Hillary plans.

With a liberal like Guiliani---he will have LOTS of bipartisan support for his liberal social agenda. No thanks.

“Hillary is a socialist. None of the Republicans are socialists.”

You forgot your sarcasm tag, either that or you forgot Rudy is in the race.

Yes sort of. In 1972 I voted for Benjamin Spock, did not like Nixon and no way could I vote for McGovern. If I thought it was going to be close I would have voted for Nixon.

My suspicion is that you don’t know what socialism is. But you’ll find out if Hillary is elected.

Or some would be alienated because some people hung us out to dry.

You are free to take the position that we will be grateful for huge tax increases and to assume that a loss is a win.

Well being 18 years old I don’t pay taxes, but I it would be cruel to abandon everyone else to Hillary’s tax plan...see post 150

I was happy when you said if it was close that you would vote for the R candidate, and I’d said so.

Only a Guiliani Apologist could find a win in a lose-lose LIBERAL RUNOFF. Enjoy Hillary.

Not so. I would even vote for McCain.

The difference between us is whether we see an immediate danger. If you do not, so be it.
