The inside of his ears had been burned with cigarettes. He was forced to drink shampoo. >His caretakers bent two of his toes to the point that an amputation may be necessary, according to reports.

When a Westgate Resorts administrative assistant spotted the 7-year-old trying to serve himself cereal at the buffet in their Osceola County sales center earlier this month, the first thing she noticed was his trembling arms. They were too thin. His eyes were sunken.

"He was really skinny," said Westgate employee Hilda Berrios. "He looked like one of those kids you see on TV." "As I focused, looking on him, I noticed the bruises and the cuts. I just kept noticing one thing after another. I was like, this isn't right."

Berrios contacted her manager, who contacted Westgate security, which called the Sheriff's Office.

The Department of Children and Families on Tuesday said Berrios and two other employees -- Steve Siegel and Humberto Garcia -- likely saved the boy's life.

The boy, who was alone when Berrios spotted him, had a large bruise on his temple and dried blood on his head. His legs were black and blue. Berrios asked the boy if he knew where his mom was. He didn't. She asked if he could spot her in the room. "There was no one," she said. "No one."

Two Baker County women who cared for the boy, Suzette Renee Stevenson, 45, and her girlfriend, Jamie Lynn Martin, 26, are accused of leaving the child in a car while they toured Westgate's time-shares Nov. 6. Each woman was arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse. Martin is being held at the Columbia County Jail, and Stevenson is jailed in Baker County.

Evil itself is ugly. Where the abusers to be physical twins of a Faith Hill or Anna Kournikova, their ugliness would be as apparent.

The Creator has plans for these two. His mercy was laid upon the boy and His wrath will be visited upon the wickedly ugly.

Our adopted daughter was abused by her stepfather when she was 18 months old. She’s now 26 and in her usual Holiday meltdown. She’s come a long way but inside, she’s still that scared little toddler. These people should be thrown into the general prison population for as long as they survive.

How sad. THe poor little guy does not have a chance to be normal. Talk about post traumatic stress disorder. These women should be put away into solitary confinement for life. They are obviously mentally ill and evil but there are no excuses.

I ran across one peer-reviewed study (too lazy to look it up presently) which indicated that the ratio of false charges to true by CPS-type caseworkers was about six false for every true.

Full Disclosure: Don't remember the study well enough to know if it blamed that on incompetence, "making quota", or sexual allegations in divorce.

After his mother became involved in drugs, he was taken away from the mother and given to his father, Baker County Sheriff Joey Dobson told ABC News.

I am not sure why we don't drug test the two abusers. It would be interesting to see the statistics that show drug use to abuse. Also the statistics to non-drug use to abuse need to be examined.

The article is unclear on how the authorities were able to identify the women as the perps. The Orlando Sentinel article states that the boy was asked if his mom was there, and he said no. “There was no one,” said his rescuer.
