The USS Kitty Hawk carrier is anchored at Malaysia's West Port in Port Klang, outside Kuala Lumpur, August 28, 2007. China has unexpectedly denied the USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier and its accompanying ships entry to Hong Kong port for a long-planned Thanksgiving holiday visit, the U.S. State Department said on Wednesday. Time to deny China ... access to AMERICAN CUSTOMERS.
That will change things. Quick!
No more games. No more sellouts. Hardball time.
America first.
They could be a little more specific about what is meant by a “last minute denial.” Does this mean that they gave permission and then withdrew it at the last minute, or that they waited until the last minute to make the decision, and then said “no”?
If it was the former, then there should certainly be some sort of payback.
We need to take back Long Beach Harbor from the CHICOMS...er “COSCO.”
“We” changed our minds.
(Go ask clinton for your refund.)
There are a bunch of unhappy sailors...
We need a new TEA PARTY.....dump CHINESE goods/tea in the ocean.....BEFORE they get to Customs....
Maybe are just afraid that a ship as old as the Kitty Hawk is now entirely composed of rust held together with paint and that it might just collapse in a heap in port. :-)
I remember riding on a Tin Can escorting the Kitty Hawk off Vietnam 40 years ago. Isn’t it time the poor thing was put to rest?
Its their port.
They can do as they like.
The democRats F$%^ with the Military, why shouldn’t the ChiComs?
This is Communist China’s way of communicating their displeasure at our media’s exposure and widespread reporting of dangerous lead content in Chinese-produced toys as well as tainted food and other dangerous things found in products from China. They play hardball and are like the Islamofascists in a key way - they will only respect strength and resolve. They take the weak and crush them. Just check with Burma and Falun Gong. This will be a very interesting situation to watch over the coming months. I am sure Hillary can work this out with her well-intentioned Chinese benefactors.

Duncan Hunter is right about China. Get behind Duncan today!
Go Hunter in 2008!
Chuck Fina.
Something big is afoot here.
A little history. The Japanese took British Hong Kong at the beginning of hostilities WW2. The US Navy liberated the Pacific including Hong Kong from the Japanese.
Ever since then, the US Navy has been warmly received in Hong Kong...even AFTER the British turned it over to the Chicoms. But now this.
This may be the first evidence of a sea change (no pun intended) in Chicom-Hong Kong, and Chicom-US relations.
Awesome. Let’s borrow even more money from the Chinese communists. /s
Boycott the Olympics
Story like this should be in Breaking News.
Well, that ought to show them we aren't pleased!
I hope they aren't too ofended! (sarcasm)
Is China trying to hide something? Possibly related to a shipment to Iran?
