Call me a skeptic, but I dont see Hillary Clinton as the eventual democrat party nominee for President. Although she may have a well oiled campaign machine, she is still an unlikable person, and unlikable people do not generally win the presidency. I have always believed that next to ideology, likeability is a key factor to election success. Americans want to like their President. Mrs. Clinton is simply not likeable, and as this campaign progresses rapidly over the next two months, the thinness of her support will become self-evident.
We already can see some of the tell-tale signs. For example, Barak Obama has recently pulled ahead of Clinton in two Iowa caucus polls, with opposing voters citing her lack of trustworthiness. Incredibly, Obama even outpolled Hillary among women in one recent Iowa poll.
Second, and more significantly, I heard Larry Sabato comment today that Hillary has not broken the 30% number in any national poll among democrats. Let me repeat Hillary barely has the support of 30% of her own party. This, in my opinion, is critical evidence showing that Hillary has a glass jaw and her support is a thin as cheap egg drop soup.
Everything about her campaign is tightly controlled and micromanaged. There are not unguarded moments; no impromptu press conferences; no extemporaneous speeches. She is a robot with a script and comes across as such. And the more you see of her, the less you like. She simply does not wear well over time.
Obama will likely win Iowa, and that, my friends, will result in a week of headlines questioning the conventional wisdom of Hillarys coronation. Hillary obviously fears this result and has started dumping more money and resources into the State to shore up her support. Can you imagine the headlines the morning after the Iowa caucus if Hillary loses Iowa (and the womens vote) to Obama?!! No matter how she tries to marginalize any loss in Iowa, the new story will be her perceived lack of invincibility.
Clearly, if Iowa turns, then there is a strong chance that New Hampshire will turn for Obama too. The polls in that state are already tightening. She basically has a 10 to 13 point lead, but again can only seem to garner 36% of the democrat vote.
Momentum is an amazing thing. Ask Howard Dean, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Despite Hillary Clintons lead among democrats in national polls, the nomination must be won state by state. And Iowa and New Hampshire may spell the beginning of the end for Hillary. There is a tinge of blood in the water, and the media sharks and democrat party operatives know it. Hillary is simply is not likeable.
Gee, you dont suppose they bussed them in do you.Never underestimate the witch to fake all this.
Jeez, I’ve seen corpses with a lot less makeup.
Yes. Bad as hillary is, several of the Democrats in the race are even worse.
It’s like the familiar conundrum for conservatives: Who was the worst president in US history, bill clinton or jimmy carter?
Clinton may have been a rapist, a murderer, a drug smuggler, a gangster, a traitor who sold nuclear secrets to China, but arguably Jimmy Carter was even worse than that. Jimmy Carter was the guy who handed over Iran to the terrorists and kicked off the resurgence of Muslim extremism. Jimmy Carter gave away the Panama Canal. Jimmy Carter gave nukes to North Korea, under bill clinton’s supervision. Jimmy Carter presided over hyperinflation and the first energy crisis. Jimmy carter never saw a Communist dictator he didn’t love. And so on.
Kucinich would be worse than hillary, probably, and so would Osama Obama.
Even her husband ain’t too fond of her. I mean look at some of the things he’s said. LOL
At least they sew the lips of the corpse before display.
I’ve never seen her as the nominee. To me, they HAVE to nominate an antiwar candidate. A real one. Unless Algore gets in, I think it’ll be Obama. Good news for the GOP.
Seems like Rush was singing a different tune about Hillary not so long ago, but maybe I’m wrong.
I agree with the point that Hillary is very unlikable. And for that precise reason, I’ve told countless people that she will lose specifically BECAUSE she started her campaign much too early. 18 months of Hillary? Gag me with a spoon!
“Run Hillary Run!”
I have that sticker on my front bumper.
He is hoping and praying Ann Coulter attacks him to give him more airtime.
“I agree Obama will benefit from Edwards ultimate demise. Democrat voters have known Hillary for at least 16 years. If they dont support her now, then Obama stands to pick up those votes as the field narrows.”

So what does Her Thighness do about Oprah? Money won’t work. Murder?
Oprah is going on the campaign trail for Obama. That should be the end of Her Thighness. Obama certainly wouldn’t want her as his VP - that would obviously be a self-imposed death sentence.
Obama is just a placeholder. He’s not a serious candidate (freshman Senator in his 1st term!).
His job is to keep Blacks from asking why 2008 is yet another year without a Black on the Democratic WH ticket.
Will Obama be on a White House ticket in 2008? No. Not at all.
Could Lieberman, Gore, Carter, Dobbs, Bayh, or Nunn be on the 2008 Dem ticket?
Yes.
but she probably wouldn't stay veep long...the veep would move up if the pres. committed suicide, right? Or died in a plane accident - the only passenger to also have a bullet hole in his head - or - or -etc
She’s the most Nixonian candidate for POTUS we’ve had since Tricky Dick and *his* “plumbers”. >Po)
This is not the same as saying she won't or can't win, necessarily. It is a way of saying she has a fight on her hands now that she had intended to avoid. Once the veneer of "inevitability" is compromised, she deflates and becomes vulnerable to being evaluated like everyone else. And under those rules, she will not fare well.
And can you imagine the tv cameras that will follow Oprah and Obama as they campaign? The local media will be filled with “Oprah campaigned today for Obama”. “The two O’s aim for the White House.” It is already starting online. They will get maximum press coverage.
Look for the Clintons to drag out Barbara Streisand to add Hollywood star power and campaign for them.
I hear you. It could happen that she is the eventual democrat party nominee for President, but only if the other Dems would cede it to her. The slapdown from Dodd on the the illegal driver license issue was the first crack in the msm illusion of her inevitably.
