Why Hillary Clinton, “The Smartest Woman in the World,” is a Dim Bulb
The Hillary Project ^ | Monday, November 19, 2007 | Selwyn Duke

Posted on 11/20/2007 5:35:34 AM PST by IrishMike

We had a co-president during the Clinton reign who was dubbed "The Smartest Woman in the World." No, it wasn't Bill; although considered intelligent, Bill didn't benefit from the application of that superlative.

Truth be known, Hillary Clinton's intellect was always over-estimated. If you want insight into her brainpower, you can ask the Clintons' erstwhile right-hand man Dick Morris. He'll tell you that she could double her I.Q. with one serving of fish. Well, actually, I say that, but he will certainly characterize her in none too flattering terms.

But I'll tell you what characterizes her intellect better than most anything else. There has been a lot of talk about how she damaged herself in the last Democrat debate, and her waffling on the subject of driver's licenses for illegal aliens especially stood out. She seemed to be for it; she "understood" it; being asked about it was "gotcha politics"; then, later, she seemed to be ... oh, my head is spinning.

Now, some have mentioned that she was obviously unprepared for the question. Unprepared? It was a no-brainer, meaning, even Lady MacBeth should have been able to answer it. But, OK, the informed among us know that she's at heart a socialist and is more than happy to facilitate illegal immigration. However, she's also a calculating political operator who is willing to say whatever she must to curry favor with the sheeple.

So here's my question: How is it that the smartest woman in the world couldn't figure out that 70 to 80 percent of the electorate (including most Democrats) recoil at the idea of giving invaders driver's licenses? It was a simple calculation. And she is so far ahead in the polls tracking the race for the Democrat nomination that she didn't have to worry about her hold on the radical left. All she had to do was boldly and unabashedly come out against such measures and she would have won hearts and minds in middle America. It would have helped her during the general election (assuming she wins the nomination) and would have even won over some Democrats who are currently supporting the other pretenders.

Anyway, if Hillary Clinton couldn't figure this out, how is she going to be able to figure out a way to combat Islamic jihad?

The smartest woman in the world? It's an insult to women everywhere.

She’s only the “Smartest Woman” because the media wants her to be. They believe that perception is reality, so if they portray her in a certain favorable light, the ignorant masses will lap it up.

Which is why during the 2000 election, many pictures of GWB were terrible, taken in the worst light, or at the worst moment of facial contortion, while Gore’s media whores practically photoshopped a halo above his head.

"...while Gore’s media whores practically photoshopped a halo above his head."

I still remember that clip from Clinton's first term when Clinton and Gore walk into a room with pictures of the founding fathers on the walls. Gore says, "Hey, who are these guys!" and Clinton walks out rolling his eyes.

Geniuses all...

Hillary would also like the public to forget that last May, when Congress voted to fund the Iraq war without timetables or withdrawal dates, she was only one of 14 senators to vote no! This prompted the Wall St. Journal to editorialize that the vote (her vote) “won…praise from the likes of MoveOn.org, which threatened not to support anyone who voted for the bill.”

Yet another reminder that Hillary’s first allegiance is not to our troops, nor to America’s victory in Iraq, but rather to George Soros’s money and to polls reflecting hard-left sentiment that also find it easy to bribe her to betray our troops.

Heh, heh!

Late in the Klintoon regime, that `rightwing moonie rag’ The Washington Times, actually published Hillary’s short lived daily column (a la her channeled mentor Eleanor Roosevelt’s “My Day”) on page two.

It was the most banal boring trite boilerplate you ever read. Sophomoric stuff. The Klintoons finally realized that the VRWC had played them for fools, and they yanked the column.

Google the Washington Times archive and see.

Hillary Boosts Enemy Propaganda

That indictment is directly from the Pentagon, when last May Hillary insisted that the powers-that-be in that agency “start planning now for the withdrawal of U.S. troops.”

To this preposterous suggestion, Eric Edelman, the Pentagon’s Under Secretary of Defense, wrote back to Hillary: “Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda that the United States will abandon its allies in Iraq, much as we are perceived to have done in Vietnam, Lebanon and Somalia.”

If Hillary had her way, we would retreat from Iraq as her husband did, ignominiously, from Somalia. She is no more up to being Commander in Chief than any of the capitulators, appeasers and scared rabbits in her Party.

Which is why no sane American should even contemplate supporting the candidacy of a woman who believes that accommodating tyrants (think of her marriage), selling her soul for money (think of George Soros and any dozen fund-raising scandals), and smearing Five-star General David Petraeus is worthy of leading America in a time of such great peril.

RUSH:...By the way, the Wall Street Journal today has a special section on 50 women to watch. Fifty women who have risen to the top, and they did it the hard way, they earned it. Number-one woman to watch: Angela Braly, president, chief executive, of WellPoint. She did not marry the former president to get the job. Number-two woman to watch: Indra Nooyi, chairman, chief executive, PepsiCo. She did not marry the former president to get the job. Number three: Neelie Kroes, antitrust chief, European Union. She did not marry the former president to get the job. Number four: Zoe Cruz, co-president, Morgan Stanley. She didn't marry the former president to get the job. None of the 50 women to watch in the Wall Street Journal married the former president in order to get their jobs at the top of the heap. Mrs. Clinton will never be able to say that.

The Clinton machine is going to engineer a campaign like the one in ‘92. Only this time, they’ll have to contend with bloggers, truth detectors, and talk radio. Hillary’s more of a control freak than even Jimmy Carter, and her impulse will be to lock down all unfavorable coverage. A compliant Drive-By Media will be more than happy to midwife this effort. Hopefully, Clinton Inc. and the Old Media will fail.

I totally agree, but this thread is about questioning Hillary’s intelligence.

Her treasonous utterances we already know about.

What a great quote. Thanks, Dick Morris. Too funny, too.

According to Bay Buchanan's book, "The Extreme Makeover of Hillary Rodham Clinton," Hillary is bright in that she can absorb data/facts and has the ability to regurgitate those data/facts (like a bright schoolgirl).

BUT

As evidenced by her inability to formulate those data/facts into a cohesive plan, she is NO leader.

Hillary has always had a team to do the heavy lifting, e.g. When her Universal Healthcare Plan failed in the early 90s, she had NO Plan B. And, she was unable to articulate the reasons the UHP failed or come up with a solution to that failure --> Plan B.

And, there are many more examples in Bay's book as well as "Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton" by NYT guys Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta Jr.; and Carl Berstein's, "A Woman in Charge: The Life Of Hillary Rodham Clinton."

In my opinion, Carl's book was interesting because he gives a nonchalant run down of the Clinton's in which the average reader would determine that the Clinton's were involved in criminal behavior. I wondered the whole time I read the book ... why aren't they in jail... anyone else would be.

Lady Macbeth:
Out, damn’d spot! out, I say!—One; two: why, then
‘tis time to do’t.—Hell is murky.—Fie, my lord, fie, a soldier, and
afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our
pow’r to accompt?

Lady Macbeth, as has become her wont, sleepwalks through the royal castle. As her waiting-woman and her doctor listen in, she mutters fragments of an imaginary conversation that recalls the night she and her husband conspired to murder King Duncan. The hour is two o’clock; she upbraids her husband for his bad conscience; she insists that there will be nothing to fear once they’ve grabbed the crown; she marvels at how much blood Duncan had to shed. As Lady Macbeth replays this scene for the eavesdroppers, she not only incriminates herself, but also reveals the pangs of conscience she had ridiculed in her husband.

Agree with everything you said but they still cannot fix their biggest problem to win the elections and this problem is Hillary Clinton herself. The woman is simply to unlikeable to be elected President and no amount of propaganda by all the media of the planet combined can change this fact.

Forget her intelligence. Can somebody give me any INKLING as to what her qualifications are for the job? Is being the First Lady actually something that matters on a Presidential resume?

Or is it a few years as a high-profile but ineffectual carpet-bagging Senator from a liberal Northeastern state?

The country has gone mad...

If Hillary is the Dim candidate, the GOP candidate needs to keep pressing the Hillary = progressive = socialist.

They need to not let her mask her socialist ideas in the word progressive.

Her ideas are socialist and that needs to be rammed home on a daily basis.

She will fold like a cheap pantsuit.
