We couldn't believe this despicable story when we first heard it and neither could the folks at television station WFXT in Boston, MA.
Local Boy Scouts in Boston were collecting care package items to send to the troops during this holiday season - that is until city officials stepped in, called law enforcement and shut down their care package collections for the troops.
The mean, cold-hearted woman who shut down the Boy Scouts efforts is a city official named Marsha Weinerman of Boston, Massachusetts who was appointed to her post July 1, 2006.
You can contact Ms. Weinerman at this email address:
mWeinerman@cambridgema.gov
Or call her at:
(617) 349-4363
Here are the media stories about Ms. Weinerman's atrocious conduct:

And you can show up Ms. Weinerman and those opposed to our troops by sponsoring a Christmas/holiday care package for our troops - and we'll be more than happy to send it over to Iraq and Afghanistan with love and appreciation:

Way to stand up to those preteen hawks, Cambridge.
The Secretary of State told the Cambridge Chronicle that most of the Scouts booths were legal.
Weinerman cited a law that prohibits political messages near any polling station in an election. But state law prohibits political messages pertaining to a particular election within 150 feet of any polling station, according to a spokesperson for Secretary of State William Galvins office. There is no law stopping someone from promoting an unrelated political message within 150 feet of any polling place.
This is how the idea that those who are against the war are also somehow against the troops gets started. Good for you, Cambridge. Youve managed to teach a group of kids that ideology trumps empathy every time.

Support for American troops is a felony? Thanks, Marsha Weinerman!

I received an e-mail from a friend in Boston telling me how cold it was. I guess you must have had a brain freeze.
Let me recommend you stay indoors for the winter.

Thank you for the warning. I don’t need to post something out of anger and get sanctioned by the Admin Mod Squad.

Here’s the e-mail I sent to Ms. Weinerman -
I thought that liberals were supportive of our military men and women, just anti the war in Iraq. Silly me, Boy Scout collection boxes for Christmas for our troops would seem to fit the first category.
Ms. Weinerman, I think you may need to rethink your position. Perhaps watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” would get you in the proper frame of mind - paying particular attention to the heart being three sizes too small.

This is no surprise coming from the same place that cursed America with U-Boat Kennedy and Swift Boat Kerry. Every time I watch 'Mega Disasters' on The History Channel, I have dark fantasies that places like this are on the receiving end of God's Wrath. And I'll be damned if I'd fork over one penny for aid or expend the firing of one synapse in
feeeeeeeeling for them. If they were drowning, I'd throw them a friggin' rock.

From her Vitae: probably 22 years old in 1967 so she'd be 62 now more or less. No doubt a rapidly wizening hateful woman who has finally had her fifteen minutes of fame and will be forgotten promptly. There are many women like that in this city; don't hate them, instead pity them.
