"Al Qaeda Is Being Slaughtered"

That was the verdict of Michael Yon on Hugh Hewitt's radio show tonight. He was talking about the linked post:
Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated, according to Sheik Omar Jabouri, spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic Party and a member of the widespread and influential Jabouri Tribe. Speaking through an interpreter at a 31 October meeting at the Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters in downtown Baghdad, Sheik Omar said that al Qaeda had been defeated mentally, and therefore is defeated physically, referring to how clear it has become that the terrorist groups tactics have backfired. Operatives who could once disappear back into the crowd after committing an increasingly atrocious attack no longer find safe haven among the Iraqis who live in the southern part of Baghdad. They are being hunted down and killed. Or, if they are lucky, captured by Americans.
Yon described the progress he is currently seeing in Iraq as "unbelievable." Let's hope it continues.

Late in 2006, after 6 long, dark years of GOP rule, the power-starved Democrats and their media allies thought they could see light at the end of the tunnel.
Turns out it is an oncoming train, the victory train in Iraq, and it is gathering steam.
Hillary reacts to the news:

Yon is literally the only American that is getting THE TRUTH out of Iraq...
And, the only place it gets disseminated is the Internet, through Conservative bloggers.

Iraq was one of Al Qaedas big hopes. We did what we could to give them hope by appearing weak and we drew them into Iraq to mop them up. It's all in Sun Tzu. Rummy rules.

Yon described the progress he is currently seeing in Iraq as "unbelievable." And "amazing," "awe-inspiring," and a host of other such terms.
I've been saying it for a while now....it's getting very quiet around here.
Well, except for all of those construction noises. And those noises are the sound of freedom.

Yon is literally the only American that is getting THE TRUTH out of Iraq... I beg your pardon. Read my posting history over the last three-plus years. ;-)
And I've caught hell for it from some of the doom-and-gloom FReepers on here. For some mysterious reason, I don't see them around anymore. LOL

AWESOME NEWS!
Operatives who could once disappear back into the crowd after committing an increasingly atrocious attack no longer find safe haven among the Iraqis who live in the southern part of Baghdad. They are being hunted down and killed. Or, if they are lucky, captured by Americans.
Woo Hoo I like that last part. They should be so lucky to be captured by Americans....that aught to tell the liberal MSM that Americans aren't the bad guys.

Our left wing mediots have been lying to us and the rest of the world about our military in Iraq before we invaded Iraq, and they haven't stopped since the invasion.

Hey Star, I'm well thank you. I'm sitting here in dusty, rocky Kabul. Working with the ANA to set up their air corps. Exciting work if you can get it, and very rewarding.
Nice job by the Navy. When did N. Korea become our friends again? hehehehe
