Clinton would cream Giuliani, poll finds
Politico ^ | Oct 31, 2007 | David Paul Kuhn

One year before voters go to the polls to select the next president, the Republican Party is as weak as it has been in a generation, a detailed new poll suggests.

Republicans are so down in the dumps that even their putative front-runner, Rudy Giuliani, would lose to Hillary Clinton by a wide margin....

All real conservatives will be out voting against Hillary no matter who she is running against her. This country can not stand another Bill&Hill White House.

Do you believe God wants Rudy?

A vote for either he or Hillary is a vote to murder the unborn.

As for the personal insult, yes, you did...

...if the evangelical snobs could unite behind a candidate, even if he is a ... pro-choice "sinner" like Rudy...

I am no snob, but I will not vote for Rudy, even if it is him against Hillary. I cannot, as a matter of conscience, support a politician who has a heinous history regarding abortion.

Further, Rudy has other serious problems - like his support of the gay rights agenda and his opposition to 2nd amendment rights.

To self-righteously call principled voters snobs is acting like a jerk. If you were just acting, please accept my apology.

Facts..., we live in a moderate society. This winner take all to one side of the spectrum never really works. Its about balance.

Fact..., after a GWB presidency the Repubs either A) sit this one out or B) go with a moderate. That moderate is Rudy. Plain and simple. I live in California. I should know.

Fact. Only a Rudy could have a chance in a big metropolitan state or city. Fact. He WILL peel away votes in the ceter in big cities which is where Dims do well.

Fact. You can’t have it all.

Fact..., any other candidate falls on his face. Repubs have put themselves in this situation now they must deal with it. If not HILLARY IS YOUR LEADER>

She loses rural voters and men — but only by a narrow margin.

GIVE ME A BREAK.

She won't lose those by a narrow margin, she'll lose 'em big. AND she'll lose church goers. AND she'll lose married women. AND she'll lose those making $100K or more. Hell, she'll lose those making $50K or more.

She'll get the black vote, the single female vote, and the gay vote. She'll also win, by double digits, the dead vote, the felon vote, the pet vote, and the double-precinct voter vote. Other than that...

Thank you for the apology. I never said that you were a snob...and there is no need to assume something is an insult that was not meant for you. I, too, apologize if you took it personally.

Abortion, gay marriage, and gun rights are in the hands of the courts and Hillary could leave a 50-year legacy of liberal judges in her wake. Having her for eight years would shape the judiciary for the rest of our lives. Every Republican contender has promised to appoint conservative judges, making each person a better candidate than Hillary. Furthermore, I dread having to live through another eight years of Bill's egomania and sex scandals. No other spouse could have as destruct an influence on our culture as the return of that man.

Pew conducted its survey of 2,007 adults from Oct. 17 to Oct. 23. The sample size was nearly twice that of a normal poll.

2,007 adults. Not registered voters, not likely voters. Lame.

...members of all five of New York's major Mafia families... They tried to put a murder contract on him and he went after them anyway.

No, they did not try... two out of five voters wanted to... if they had tried, he would be with Jimmy Hoffa...

Electorally, Rudy, more than any other GOP guy, has a shot of gaining New York...

That is why he did so well in the two senate elections?

Snip...

Rudy has cojones of solid brass...

Sounds like a fetish thing...

This isn’t news. We’ve known that Rootie is Hitlery’s secret weapon from the beginning.

Here's a real fact, your analysis is not a fact but an opinion and from where I sit an ill informed one as well. But I'll give you a pass because you live in California where conservatives are overwhelmed by the left.

Hillary has higher negatives than anybody in this race and can be beaten by any one of 5 Republican candidates. I hope she is beaten by one who isn't pro choice, anti-gun and pro illegal.

My guess is that the bitch dog would win the south and every other area. The newspapers and television would have Rootie in his various womens outfits 24/7. Very few people would want a flaming transvestite for President. They would vote heavy for a socialist lesbian bulldyke. A lot of folks had no trouble voting for a predatory serial rapist twice.

I have trouble believing that someone who is hated by so many could cream anyone in a presidential election. If this country elects this worthless wench it will bring about its own demise. We might already be on our way if a lowlife like her can run for president.

This poll does not test for turnout. It can be done, but those are the very expensive private polls you won’t see. However this early it is close to impossible. Republicans ALWAYS turn out in larger numbers the typical ratio with no other factors is 5:3.

When you take into account Swift Boat and Willie Horton kinds of ads then the sky is the limit. This poll is a meaningless name-recognition poll of the ENTIRE populace.
