I’m a Giants fan, and I have some very mixed emotions about bringing in A-Rod. The Giants need to get younger and need a bat in the lineup that isn’t under the age of frickin’ 60. The rotation is fine, but I would like to get a closer or some help in the bullpen, which is something this team has lacked over the past few seasons.
(Hell, maybe Brian Sabean could get his long-awaited do-over and trade to get Joe Nathan back?)

NOOOO!!!!
Let the Giants get through at least one season without a "it's all about me" player.

I think the Giants know they have to get younger to compete with Colorado and Arizona, and won't pursue A-Rod. That money could buy a lot of middle relievers - and the Giants had one of the best farm systems in baseball this year. The kids need a chance to come up to the big leagues and develop.
A-Rod is a perfect fit for the Red Sox, IMHO.
