I’ve never watched a Texas Ranger episode.

Nothing against Norris. I just haven’t.

A 'gay' guide to GOP candidates

Excerpt:

In sixth place is Mike Huckabee.

"He has told reporters that he is open to state-sponsored civil unions that would bestow the legal rights of marriage on gay and lesbian couples," says the report.

It strikes me that Huckabee is trying to be everything to everyone. Didn't we have enough of that with the election of another Arkansas governor by the name of Bill Clinton?

The other candidates vying for the GOP nomination could all be safely described as open, unadulterated opponents of the homosexual agenda, according to both Salon and my own research. They are: Tom Tancredo, Duncan Hunter, Sam Brownback and Alan Keyes.

It seems to me homosexual activists have more choices among the Republican candidates than do traditional Republicans.

/excerpt

------------------------------------------------------

And what happens with state-sponsored civil unions?

In the United States, courts often must determine who the legal parents are among the many adults who might be involved in planning, conceiving, birthing, and raising a child. Judges in several states have seized upon the idea of “psychological” parenthood to award legal parent status to adults who are not related to children by blood, adoption, or marriage. They have done so even over the objection of the child’s biological parent. Advances in the same-sex marriage debate have encouraged group marriage advocates who wish to break open the two-person understanding of marriage and parenthood.

The National Health Education Standards has gone further and envoked in loco parentis by redefining parents as families. Families have been classified as stakeholders. Children’s stakeholders are being identified as any entity that is seen as a resource in a child’s community.  The legal definition of stakeholder is a third party who temporarily holds money or property while its owner is still being determined.

Schools often have insufficient resources to provide a comprehensive and multifaceted continuum of interventions. By having direct contact with families and key informants in the community, schools are better able to identify barriers to student success and well-being and better equipped to develop solutions that overcome these barriers. Schools can enhance home-school links by sharing concerns with families and developing solutions that address students’ unique needs.

In addition to the benefits for students’ education and well-being, students’ families, and school staff, there are reciprocal benefits for community agencies who partner with schools. Businesses, the justice system, community health and safety systems, and others may benefit from a healthier population. Community agencies and organizations that provide services to children and families often gain a more visible profile when they become partners with schools.

Examples of neighborhood stakeholders in student health and well-being are students themselves, as well as their families and teachers. Other school staff, community business owners, police, faith-based institutions, universities and colleges, local health departments, health and mental health service providers, dentists, emergency medical services, educators of first-aid, departments of health, justice, education and social services, and other agencies that serve families have stakes in the well-being of the student population and school staff. Communicate regularly with partners and potential partners in order to learn what each has to offer.

Everyone’s down on Huckabee because of his immigration record. Three things you have to ask yourself:

1. Does he have the debating skills and ideas to beat Hillary? I think he does after he tore into her in Florida.

2. Can he change his ways on issues like immigration?
Immigration only recently became a hot button issue. Denying illegals anything during the politically correct years of the 90’s was tantamount to political suicide.

3. Does he do his best to keep his campaign promises?
I would think Huckabee’s word is important to him.

We should be asking these questions about all the candidates.

This is Norris’ official entry into the realm of know-nothing celebrities with an opinion. That he is so enamored of the man we Arkansans refer to as “The Huckster” demonstrates that Norris is no more or less intelligent than anyone else with an opinion. Hear this, people: Mike Huckabee is NOT A CONSERVATIVE, and he is pro-illegal immigration. He may be slick behind a podium in a so-called “debate” among a bunch of mental midgets, but he could not get elected dog catcher in his home state. People here are fed-up with his phony popularism.

When Chuck Norris sends in his taxes, he sends blank forms and includes only a picture of himself, crouched and ready to attack. Chuck Norris has not had to pay taxes, ever.

In honor of Chuck’s endorsement, I’ve been working on a few Mike Huckabee facts...

There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of animals Mike Huckabee hasn’t taxed into extinction.

Mike Huckabee has two speeds: Walk, and Regulate.

Mike Huckabee once ate three 72-ounce steaks in an hour. He spent the first 45 minutes enforcing the smoking ban.

Mike Huckabee CAN believe it’s not butter, as all trans fats will be outlawed if he is elected President.

Mike Huckabee once worked as a weatherman for the Little Rock evening news. Every night he would make the same forecast: Partly cloudy with a 75% chance of higher taxes.

According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, Mike Huckabee can actually raise your taxes yesterday.

Mike Huckabee puts his pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us. The only difference is, then he creates massively expensive welfare programs.
