CAMERON: Congressman Hunter, did you have a comment there?

HUNTER: Yes, just one comment.

You know, President Putin did give us one opening, and I think we should exploit it. And that is that he offered to work with us on sea-based missile defenses. The throat of the -- of missiles launched from Iran at western Europe would go over the Black Sea.

HUNTER: I think we should undertake an initiative with Putin's people and discuss the prospects of putting our Aegis missile defense cruisers in the Black Sea, ask them if they're interested in an partnership that would protect Western Europe, also protect us.

But, lastly, you know last month, we had a successful intercept above the Pacific Ocean with a missile coming out from Alaska with an interceptor coming up from Vandenberg. And we hit it 100 miles above the surface of the Earth. That was a demonstration of the new success of what Ronald Reagan started with missile defense. We've got to keep missile defense strong.

(APPLAUSE)

You can say what you want about McCain, and I’m not here supporting him, I’m merely stating a fact.

At least he realizes we are at war. There are a LOT of people in this country who don’t realize it at all.

That’s all.

That was my only thing I was commenting on, and I’m sticking to it.

>I’m shocked Hunter only got 1%.<

Polls, like election votes, can be manipulated. Just look at Oregon and Washington State! Happens all the time!

Those who don’t follow the party platform have no business running for the republican nomination.

Certainly a candidate that does not respect the sanctity of life should not have support among the CONSERVATIVE base of the GOP....nor should anyone who supported Clinton’s AWB. That rules out Rudy & Mitt - they each have many reasons I cannot support them as a GOP nominee - but those are two of the main issues I weigh a candidate by.

While Huckabee is great on life issues (putting aside his tax-n-spend policies from Arkansas), he’s pushing for more nanny-state big-government and also a pro-SHamnesty candidate like McCain.

McCain also wanted Geneva Convention rights to terrorists and whines about how GITMO “looks in the eyes of the world”. Although I value military service in our next President, that’s not an example of a leader that I am looking for. Nor is someone who’s adopted the CUT & RUN, blame-America first policies of the DUmocrats...so I won’t support Ron Paul, plus he’s just too damn whiney.

With WOT issues, it’s as Tom Tancredo said in one of the debates: “the next President needs to be someone that al queda ABSOLUTELY FEARS”....that is why I support Duncan Hunter (and Tancredo as his running mate).

Thompson would be my 3rd choice, but I don’t support his idea of “aspirations of citizenship” for those who have broken the law, his stance on McCain-Feingold, or his votes in favor of MOST FAVORED NATION trade status for communist countries (China & Vietnam).

Understood.

I was watching the time, and it took about 50 minutes into the interview until the importance of the War came up and it didn’t happen until one of the candidates, not a questioner, brought it up.

“Mitt: Hillary hasn’t run a country, state, city and hasn’t even run a corner store. LOL!”

LOL indeed.
Hillary tried running a WH travel office and a health care study group. That’s it. She screwed up both. She is incompetent at running things.

The MSM likes Huckabee as a dark horse because:
1. He will never win.
2. He might be Rudy’s VP.
3. He peels off socon votes from any real Rudy opponent.
4. He’s a populist non-fiscal-conservative nanny-stater.

I said before that Thompson needs to be the Southest Conference champion and Romney the Northeast Conference champion and go after it.

Huckabee is superfluous and Rudy is dangerous.
Let’s not do things that will help Rudy get the nomination.

Actually, I thought the moderators last night were awful.

Their entire intent was to get a “he said, he said” moment.

I was disppointed in all of them.

And when Hillary or Obama trounces that ticket because they are literally a pair of unkowns...who’s fault will it be.

Assuming they some how pull out a miracle and actually WIN the nomination?

I will not base my vote on fear....and by the way, I don’t believe Hitlery has as much credibility as some on FR give her. Democrats AND Republicans will turn out in force to vote AGAINST her, regardless of the GOP nominee.

I’d much rather my vote be FOR someone instead of AGAINST like it was in last few times. The lesser of two evils is still EVIL.

Brit Hume was good, he gave the top tier candidates space to define themselves.

Wallace was too busy kissing Giuliani’s posterior.

The other two could have been cut out.

Well, he’s partly right on national security because he supports the WOT. But national security cannot be truly achieved with porous borders.

HUME: ... do you really think we can solve the Social Security and Medicare entitlement programs with trade policy?

HUNTER: Let me give you one statistic, Brit. We have a $161 billion deficit this year. We have an $800 billion trade deficit. And that is closely linked with the ability to take care of our seniors, to take care of Medicare, and to pay Social Security, absolutely.

looks like Hunter forgot to take economics 101 in college

The Fibromyalgia scam has blossomed largely in the past 5 years and I’m quite familiar with it. And I’m here to tell you it’s the next great pot of gold for ambulance-chasers because you can NEVER disprove it. You can only pray for a jury with some modicum of common sense: an increasingly rare bird.

“How do you think I feel? They didn’t even allow my candidate on the stage.”

Keyes has been actively ignored by the MSM since day one. If he were the GOP candidate he would trounce Hillary. His ability to lead and inspire would likely reverse for a while the US’s slide into a liberal cesspool.

Since you say here “my candidate” I checked and what do you know, He’s in the race. You wouldn’t know it from the coverage.

One memorable moment I had was watching a local newscast years ago and some news editor included a few seconds of an Alan Keyes speech probably by mistake. At the end of the cut, the hairsprayed anchor was clearly impressed.

“Alan Keyes, eh?” he said.

“I wonder why we don’t hear more from him.”

I wanted to reach through the screen and choke him.

“It’s because you guys avoid talking about him.”

Keyes would defeat Hillary by a wide margin. FNC and rest of the media anoint whoever they want and ignore the rest.
