UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

Oh, good! Glad to help!
This thread is basically says “Malibu, Pepperdine”....
It would probably be appropriate for someone to start a thread that combines all the fires/info in general.
Just a thought.
I heard someone call into KOGO an hour ago saying Fairbanks Ranch was being threatened.....the sheriffs told her it was backfiring
have whoever created the thread ping the mod to change it to 2007 CA Firestorms or something like that

Dumb question time, but what does that mean when/if those fires merge?
Will it be completely impossible to fight? (again, sorry for the dumb question)
Nah, I dont think they will merge myself...it would mean the Feds taking over the entire LA County firefight.
No, not the "butterknife" LOL
I don't think it is a dumb question, I was wondering that myself, and I never ask dumb questions. Only good questions.
Heck..if this cuts off a route to the north on I5, we're screwed. Can't go inland, can't go north, only place to go is the ocean. Well, we have enough boogie boards, and one surfboard.
That’s probably a much better idea.
