UPDATE: The city of Malibu is advising residents in Puerco Canyon to begin evacuating due to a wildfire driven by powerful winds. This area is north of Pacific Coast Highway and about 1 mile west of Pepperdine University. Residents along the beach on Malibu Road may soon be evacuated. Pacific Coast Highway is closed between Kanan-Dume Road and Topanga Canyon. Residents are advised to head to the west. Evacuation centers are being set up in the Zuma Beach area.
A wildfire driven by powerful winds in the Malibu Hills this morning threatened a university, destroyed at least one home and forced the evacuation of hundreds more, authorities said.

These fires are natural events and only nature can stop them. You need the wind to die down, until then all you can do is tactical.

That is sort of what I was getting to. Flooding in a midwest flood plain means you can't live there anymore unless you go it your own.

Thanks. I guess it will correct itself that way. This is most horrible. This has been going on for so long. I remember that Richard Nixon had to hose down his roof in the early 60's to keep his house from burning. I think that was about the same time Joe E. Brown lost his home too.

probably just a feed to the news room...they are either not live on Fox 11, or covering a different fire in the news room.
That is how the feeds normally work, until they are talking with the pilot, then you might only hear one way audio.
A newish fire in Stevenson Ranch...200 plus acres in 15 minutes- possibly towards Porter Ranch..
