Bottom line....if you’re here illegally, get the hell out. If you’re here legally, welcome. Just like any other nationality. You want to get all “sensitive”, go right ahead, if you’re legal we have a Constitution that says you may do so. If you’re not legal, you can go to hell, or at least get out of my country. Come on man, admit you hate Hispanics, Mexicans, South Americans... admit that you hate us with passion. Amdit that when you think of folks, like myself, you feel a hatred that we are some how destroying what you see as “your country” and no matter what service, that we, as Hispanics do, it is not good enough..
For it doesn’t fit your idea of what this nation is.
On one level, we are all more comfortable with people who share our own language and culture. It certainly makes navigating within the wider society easier. Even within the family, which is the basic unit of society, there's a comfort in being able to communicate in a, well, familial way. Each family shares in their own unique ways of communicating with each other, in a way it is their own distinct language.
On the other hand, we are all the children of Eve, and are called upon by God to love our neighbors as ourselves. All people in all the world share more in common in important things than they do in unimportant things. A person's skin color is unimportant. The manner in which a person communicates to others in his family or community is unimportant.
No one wants to see people exploited by others, regardless of their legal status or English proficiency. Unfortunately, such things can and do happen. I was reading in the news of a case of a terrible exploitation, the case in Kentucky of some deranged individual calling a McDonalds restaurant and purporting to be the police, and claiming that a female employee had stolen a customer's purse, and that unless she was immediately strip-searched, a police car would be dispatched to bring her to the police station. So here's a white middle-aged manager being duped into strip-searching a white teenager, and of course and deservedly so there's a lawsuit moving forward over it. But the idea that someone would blindly follow an anonymous caller's reprehensible instructions just because it may be lawful needs to be considered very carefully, as such was the excuse of Nazis, that they were merely following orders, even if they were perfectly lawful ones.
What is lawful is not always what is right and proper and moral, and if native-born English speakers are unable to tell the difference, I too, feel for those who have no clue.
Actually, it sounds more like you hate yourself. Has nothing to do with me.

I have read that they (can/might/do) get ‘injured’ on a job (or someone’s property), sue, (and win!), and also get full disability from SS (usually for ‘permanent’ neck damage), and retire back in their homeland, with a check coming in every month from the good ol USA. Anyone have any links?

If you want to see NGZ’s posting history it’s easy to do. I just checked it myself. Just checking the first 3 paqes, I see he has not been on any “hispanic bashing” threads. There are lots of people watching what you’re writing, I tried to stay out of it but you are the meanest most hateful poster I’ve seen since Howlin left and that’s quite an accomplishment! This isn’t about Hispanics-or the Spanish language, for that matter; it’s about ILLEGALS. YOU seem to be the one unable to separate ILLEGALS from Hispanics here. While it would be inane to dispute the fact that most illegals are Hispanic, I’m sure nobody here believes that ALL of them are-or that all Hispanics are illegals. Ridiculous, isn’t it? The bottom line is: THIS ISN’T ABOUT YOU. If you truly are conservative and hard-working, that’s great-more power to you. I would think you’d be concerned about the social and economic drain on this country owing to the illegals, humanitarian matters aside. Also, I would say that your third paragraph seems to reflect a certain bigotry on your own part.
I don’t mind. If you think it is okay to chase off all the Hispanics from this forum, all the African Americans, all the Jewish, and every other minority group because of all the hatred from thread like these then I’ll be happy to challenge your notion of what a conservative is.
A conservative is not a person who reads a story about Hispanics and instantly believes it is about an illegal alien.
