Texas Gov. Rick Perry Will Endorse Giuliani 16 Oct 2007 08:04 pm (Updated) Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) plans to endorse Rudy Giuliani at an early morning news conference, Giuliani campaign advisers confirmed. Perry, who succeeded George W. Bush as governor, would be the first sitting governor to endorse Giuliani. He brings added cachet as a Southerner and a social conservative, although he is not uniformly well-regarded by conservative elites in Washington. He may -- or may not be -- a vice presidential prospect. He is in the party's center on immigration, and has clashed, at times, with various wings of the Texas Republican Party. Giuliani's finance team is top-heavy with Texas Republicans, and the Perry and Giuliani circles intersect.

Say it ain't so MOFO!
I would have voted for the guy if I thought he could win.
At least he would have been benign as Gov.
The thought of Chris Bell stopped me.
(Rock, Hard place..)
The decision has been made. The Party has decided to annoint Julie Annie as The One.
For the past week or two, it's been one party hack after another coming out, damning the other candidates with faint praise, puffing His Kazootieness, and making it crystal clear that from this point forth, any candidates other than The Lisper are on their own. Worse than merely "on their own" -- they'll be on their own, with "their" party waging artful war against their campaigns.
Well, fine. Let 'em play their farce of a game.
I'm not voting.
I'm not voting for Rooty OR Hitlary.
And to anyone who tells me that by not voting for the Republican pro-abort/anti-RKBA/pro-homosexual candidate, I'll be "helping to elect" the Democrat pro-abort/anti-RKBA/pro-homosexual candidate... well, what's your point?
I do not participate in rigged games. I'm funny that way.
When they play their hand this blatantly, this early in the game, well, what a pathetic farce it is.
That's some catch, that catch-22.
That's some choice, that hobson's choice.
Gee, we get to pick which side of the political coin to rule over us. Heads, they win, tails, we lose.
THE Political Party has two sides. An elephant's head on one side, and a donkey's hindquarters on the other. On alternate years, they take turns, and put the donkey's head and elephant's butt.
Maybe I'll write in Mickey Mouse. Wouldn't it be something if he won?
Reckon he just bought himself a V.P. slot?
Looks like they are going to get what they deserve. A split GOP.
But...but...Rooty gave his blood for the GOP...a real Maalox moment.
I am glad that sucker is not running again here in Texas.
Chuck Norris for Gov.
Just in case you haven’t heard yet ping. I guess this means that Kay BH will be the next governor of Texas. Gov Good Hair and Rudy = two RINOS in a love fest.
Yep, if we don’t get a third party ready, it will likely be Hillary for 4 years, then the new conservative party in 2012, assuming we survive 4 years of her socialism/communism.
This ‘southern’ Texas Republican is a self centered empty suit. Texas would have been much better off with Kinky Friedman.
Good Morning! Heard it live on Fox.. Guess who follows..Ron Paul on nxst..I’m changing channels and going to eat breakfast!
Now you know who, of possible Republicans, would support the North American Union.
Perry is of the Bush-Vicente Fox Familia.
Have you noticed all the new Born On dates of some of these Roto Rooty Toots?
I guess they are going to flood FR and turn it into an all liberal conservative site.
Geesh
Perry = all the worst that we have come to see in corrupt republicans. This will cost Rudy more than help him.
(s)but ronpaul is on FNF!(/s)
Perry=empty suit, business schill.
You got that right.
This will energize the voters to come out./NOT
Bah!! I voted for him twice, the last time thinking that he was the least of the possible evils of the candidates available. If I could do it over,I wouldn’t vote for him again. I’d stay home.
Mmmmmmm; well, he’s rightly disliked, but the MOST disliked? His Kingship Mayor Bill White at least runs him a close second.
