Very cool that you got to “visit” with the Navy.

I am another person who was pissed when Lucas began futzing with the original three films. Leave the new CGI crap out of the originals. The Jabba CGI effect SUCKED and did not add to the deleted scene. I had better stop before I launch into a screed.

Yep - good likenesses, too. Everything “works” - except for Leia’s “early Cyndi Lauper” leggings. There are cropped versions of that pic which omit Leia, for that very reason, I suspect.

I was thinking of VHS because I have a player for those and can import and convert the movie to a digital format. With laserdisc, I have to get a player off E-Bay. If they are affordable, then I may consider buying one and converting Episode IV to MPEG-4. PM me.

The Men were in Dress Uniform and the Ladies were in Long Beautiful Dress everywhere! They had a Ballroom party and I was tempted to sneak in and hit the Grog bowl, but I don’t think my jeans and dress shirt would have made it to far! LOL

My favorite is "Silent Running" where Bruce Dern plays a deranged eco-freak that kills off the rest of his crew in order to save the last plants and animals in existence.
The irony and impossibility of an earth devoid of plants or animals, save for those few saved in space is lost on those that made this precautionary tale of proto-ecologism at it's worse.
The three robots, Huey, Dewie, and Louie steal the show as the films only good guys.
