At a time when party affiliation is fraying and a third of Americans consider themselves independent, to build a majority of 50% plus one requires persuasion. Independents will not accept all parts of either party's platform or approach but will choose a candidate for office based on which issues matter to them, and whether one or the other party connects with them on those issues. It is a skill to disagree at times without being disagreeable. Ronald Reagan had it, and it is one of the reasons he became so popular and patched together a large winning coalition . Coulter has clearly decided there is no economic advantage for her in this approach...

Actually, if Ann was at fault, IMHO, it would have been for giving Deutsch more benefit of the doubt than proper, regarding his grasp of fundamentals in Judaism and what Christianity means. When she used the terms ‘to make perfect’, she was repeatedly interrupted. That was an indicator of spiritual warfare, wherein the opponent was being influenced in his thinking by whatever counter thought first came to his mind.
His arguments indicated he interpreted the issue as a racial one in bigotry, rather than an understanding of spiritual victory which God provides when He saves His people.
For every believer through faith in Him, there are various gifts being implemented daily. Had Deutsch been a believer in fellowship with God by what He provides, even as a Jew through faith in the types presented in the Pentateuch, he would have manifest patience in his understanding of the issue, rather than leaping to soulish rationalism.
I don’t judge if he is a believer or unbeliever, but I do discern the spiritual warfare which involved the human domain.
Ann is for Ann.
For the record, my wife is a Jew. The only reason I’m not is because I’m too lazy to go through the whole conversion process. :)
i think it’s way more than ten percent and what she said was an expression of her religious belief which i found not offensive,actually,but rather of no interest-she wasn’t calling jews the spawn of satan like james wickstrom or hal turner do on a daily basis-coulter has never used anti semitism as a basis for her arguments

There are times Ann crosses the line. Not because she isn’t PC, but because she can’t prove her position. Case in point..her hit job on now Chief Justice Roberts’ during his confirmation battle.
In this instance the whack job host is deliberately trying to insinuate proselytizing is comparable to the position of Iran’s Mullah’s. In essence, convert or be eradicated. Actually, they take it even further as not wanting Jewish blood to be in living existence.
I may not be her biggest fan, but Ann is NO anti-semite. Anyone with a brain in their heard ought to know that.
This guy is a coward and it’s wimps like him that have hurt the conservative movement. Rather then reading what was said in context, and making it known, he wants her removed. Sure, remove Ann, remove Rush, remove Delay, remove Ashcroft remove anyone the Left dislikes and then maybe we can build a winning coalition?!! Ha ha...get real.
This is the reason I have wondered at times if she is really on our side. I hope this is just an act, or at least people keep telling me it is.
Isn’t the very existence of Christianity crying out what Ann said, e.g. Judaism is incomplete? Is Christianity then an insult to Jews?

She has a 80% favorable rating here in Free Republic, based on postings defending her, even in threads such as this that attack her.

I doubt it. Like you, I have never heard the term, and I have visited a few different denominations (Lutheran, Presbyterian, Baptist, and Pentecostal, at least). Did I hear correctly that Coulter is a Presbyterian?
I would be hard pressed to label my fellow Christians as perfected Jews simply because it sounds elitist, even if it's not intended to be.

I like Ann but she needs to learn that not every opinion needs a public airing.
Of course, at some point she might get controversial enough to be on The View every day. Imagine an hour every day of Ann Coulter on TV dropping bombshells on mildly sedated American housewives and retirees. It would be epic.
