Slash-and-burn columnist Ann Coulter shocked a cable TV talk-show audience Monday when she declared that Jews need to be "perfected" by becoming Christians, and that America would be better off if everyone were Christian.
Coulter made the remarkable statements during an often heated appearance to promote her new book on advertising guru Danny Deutsch's CNBC show "The Big Idea."
In response to a question from Deutsch asking Coulter if "it would be better if we were all Christian," the controversial columnist responded: "Yes."
"We should all be Christian?" Deutsch repeated.
"Yes," Coulter responded, asking Deutsch, who is Jewish, if he would like to "come to church with me."
Deutsch, pressing Coulter further, asked, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians?" She responded: "Yeah."
Coulter deflected Deutsch's assertion that her comments were anti-Semitic, matter-of-factly telling the show's obviously upset host, "That is what Christians consider themselves: perfected Jews."

George W. Bush
is the published address/phone number for the professional whiners at Hillary's "Media Muddles dot org".
Just in case anyone wants to contact them and tell them their attempt to smear another conservative won't work. Again.
I don’t think so. George Bush got a higher % of Black vote than Jewish vote. I can’t remember which survey though. I know I remember this as I was stunned being I see President Bush as probably the best friend in the White House Israel has had.
Great. As a Jew who doesn’t vote Democrat, thanks for trying to repel me from the GOP — as well as making it that more difficult to try to convince Jewish friends and relatives to turn away from the left and vote Republican.
Zealots like you only prove liberal Jews’ worst fears about the Republican party to be true. Thanks a lot, Einstein.
Unless a church has installed broomstick parking, I don’t see or believe AC is a woman of any ‘faith’ other than being a brat.
No one can keep the law perfectly. Jesus Christ cannot be fully understood in the mind and I think the best thing is that we just ask Him - are you for real the Messiah? He has a tendency to answer honest questions. Just rejecting his alleged atonement out of hand is unwise of anyone. He alleged that he kept the law perfectly and was the unspotted lamb to be sacrificed for the Passover. None of us can keep the law perfectly. The question is did he? Was he the lamb without spot or blemish? Ask Him. The worst that can happen is that nothing will happen.
I am an Agnostic but I would be overjoyed if all the American Muslims converted to Christianity
George Bush is just plain goofy if he thinks the Muslim religion has been any benefit at all to the USA
cheme, the link wouldn’t open, but I will find another way to get there...
HG, folks, I see what you’re saying. Something else occurred to me now...
There’s no denying the Jews have had their share of suffering. But at what point do Christians get to cry foul? First, we had our Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer removed from schools. Now we have Muslims and others forcing their p.c. ways into the very places that refuse Christians to be acknowledged.
The 10 Commandments are at risk of being removed from courthouses. Girls are sent home for wearing chastity pact rings. Children in public schools are forced to listen to acceptance and tolerance lessons for all variations on Christian marriage except for beastiality [soon to come?]
I think he was mispronouncing Mexican :)
Selling books is not a sign of great intelligence, there are more stupid people writing books in our time than ever before in history of mankind. Yes I call her stupid and I insist on it, and of course she is very mean.
“Shes on a roll”
I haven’t been this upset since, well . . .
since the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!
I'm sure he doesn't believe that, but he realizes that it's better to be at war with a few thousand Moslems than with all 1 billion of them.
Jesus and the Apostles said the same "outrageous" thing.
Some orthodox seem to discourage it — probably an attempt to weed out those who aren’t serious. The more reform-minded aren’t nearly as discouraging. So it all depends. Point is, proselytizing is alien within the Jewish religion (for the reasons I stated in the above post), so that’s why some get a little edgy when it’s directed at them. Not all, but some.
Oh yes, it does.
Sorry jv, this is getting to exactly what Christian Conservatives are and should be. We are not supposed to hide our Faith under a barrel and she shows boldness in this statement. Imagine a Lib saying anything nearly as offensive/Truth as this.
Look, I know your Mooselimb and I am Christian but on this we will always disagree. We are called by Christ to spread the Gospel and he tells us he is the Way. This is not political but what and who we are. This is our equivilant to Blowing up Innocent Children in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord.
JV, you know I love you like a Brother and am praying that you too will one day look towards Jesus and Salvation. Only he brings peace and understanding. Unlike Islam he says there is no Greater Gift than to lay down your life for another. Just like our soldiers in Iraq. She spoke the Truth.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Hey Deutch
Do you think Israel would be safer if all the muslims in the ME converted to Christianity
I sure as hell would feel a lot safer here in the USA
