I think Fred is contradicting himself here. He said oil prices peak before economic downturns, but previously he said our economy is fine, no recession on the horizon.

Oh, great. Now Romney is recognizing Global Warming. What a nightmare.

Did McCain just drop a bombshell? Getting Congress approval for an attack, is closer to reality than were saying now?
Yeah, that was kinda interesting. I don’t think he meant anything specific ... but who knows what he has been hearing from the Bush administration?

I'm the only one in S. Fla in the who is "for" drilling The rest have been hopelessly brainwashed.
Fred's message is good even great but his delivery is far less than charismatic

Apart from all the in-squabbling about which guy we want, I think most of us can agree that these feel more like “grown-up” debates as opposed to the Dem debates?

If so many FREEPERS have different picks... how can we come together and PICK who to support?
We're doing it. Can you think of a better way to pick a good candidate than debate the issue?
Of course we're going to have different picks. Groupthink is for the left. Besides, this would be an awfully boring forum if everyone agreed, wouldn't you say?

I don’t think it’s up to us. I’ll support whoever gets the nomination, Period.
Hell, I’d even support that Moonbat Ron Paul if he was up against The Evil One.
Of the current candidates, I like Huckabee’s answers best, even though I realize he’s second tier. None of the others impress me much.

What you will see here is those who support a particular candidate disparage the others in favor of theirs. Look closely at some of the posts. Some are not watching the same debate as the rest of us, and their comments suggest it.
It happens every election. This one is more contentious than most and will be divisive here at FR for a long time to come.
