Thanks for the cite. I’d never actually sat and read Scalia’s dissent before, and now that I’ve skimmed it, I’m starting to reconsider.

Duncan goes against the Dubai deal. Doesn’t trust them.

Fred just said something to the effect that Nasdaq would own 30 % of the Dubai company. I too am a little lost on that one.

Duncan Hunter just blew the rest of them out of the water with his “No to Dubai” answer.
The man has the courage of his convictions.

Fortunately there are contrasting opinions. There are some commenting who are obviously political operatives but some non-aligned citizens, too. It’s not hard to see which is which.

So far in this debate, I have switched my vote from Thompson to Hunter.

Hunter on Dubai (sp?) owning 20% of NASDAQ......NO! because I don't trust them! Then he backed it up with facts about why he doesn't trust them!
Fantastic answer!

They said Bonzo was better looking than Reagan. It is weird having lived through these same type political attacks before. Some things never change.

Traditionally, you refer to a person by the highest title he/she has served in office. Thompson served as Senator; therefore, he is traditionally referred to in title as Senator until he achieves a higher post.

I like Hunter a lot, but he is coming off as very angry.
To: rodguy911
But, so far little traction. I really dont understand it at all. Just not many Americans left who are where Hunter is on the issues. The WWII generation that gave Reagan those huge victories is mostly gone, and the kind of people who would be inclined to support his candidacy are vastly overrepresented on Free Republic.

I would agree with that. McCaine made the strongest argument for Free Trade even though I totally disagree with him. Of course, Hunter just came back with a crushing response. Hunter is really on fire tonight. I have never seen him looking more in control and presidential.

Tancredo also against the Dubai deal. Agrees with Duncan Hunter on China too.
To: AuntB
Hunter is still number one with me. Amazing it’s the first time I heard about Dubui shipping nuclear triggers to an annonymous Islamabad source.
