Quick update tonight:

humble called and told me that he walked this evening and was feeling pretty good.

He said that his doctor told him that he's doing well enough that his epidural can be removed and that he can probably move to a regular room tomorrow.

I didn't go by to see him today. Instead I went to see "Arsenic and Old Lace".... just doing a little research to prepare for dealing with Old Grumpy.

I plan to go by to see him tomorrow evening if he promises to be sweet and endearing.

I was wondering if there are birds around HG’s new home. Why? Some years ago, Bing Crosby got a very serious infection in his lungs. It is psittacosis, chlamydial pneumonia, or parrot fever and it is a nasty bug!
