humblegunner has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, October 3.
He has been extremely ill and today, after four days of antibiotics and the removal of a large amount of fluid from the area surrounding his right lung, he is finally beginning to feel better. His doctors have said that he will be hospitalized for several more days.
The Jamaican Nurse’s Aide did NOT understand our dry humor. It was so funny. I waked in and the first thing that I said was, “You look like crap!”.
She actually blanched. I thought that that was just a literary term, but she did. After some back and forth with gunner she told me that I should be pleasant and try to be nice. Gunner told her that if I came in and was pleasant or nice it would have scared the crap out of him as that would mean that he was dying.
She blinked a few times and left.

At least they put the heart thingie on the appropriate finger!

LOL! Next time you go see him, tell him if he isn’t nice to you, you will order another sponge bath for him from the sweet granny.
And, I wouldn’t drink out of that glass on the table, if I were you.

Yep sure signal that he’s a dead man if ya go in there being nice too him .......he’d a died of nuthin right then and there had ya done such !
If he does be sure to get some pictures of that - they could prove to be extremely "useful" in the future... /grin

Mr. Gunner will be my prayer intention for tonight, again. I want my sleepless time to go to good use. (Having a toddler in my room is about as restful as an ICU, except we have the lights out.)

LOL! HG is looking mighty stylish in his hat! .I don’t blame you for not wanting to see the “doctor’s deeds” to HG I have seen enough in my day ..not pretty.
HG..I am praying for complete healing from infection..and some good rest soon. I hate the painful procedure you must endure.
Some seem to be standing in line to beat you up so you have to get your strength back.

Maybe all three of them need a ‘time out.’ Hopefully humblegunner will recover. Pneumonia is nasty business, I’ve had it twice.
I’ve had it once. We need to feed the catz more. Then they’ll stay downstairs at night and eat. Of course, they’d get fat.
