This does not help the honest police officers because a bad apple gets off and some people will blame all LEOS.

I get it. Perverts are now a protected class. Ex-Nazi’s who trained dogs for the SS 65 years ago get deported.

Seems the DA was more concerned with his won/loss record than putting this slimeball behind bars.
At least now the victims can take every dime his old pervert has. ...well maybe.

maybe the folks and family of the molestees were waiting in the parking lot. One can only hope.

This is the “P” the GLBT alliance has been promoting for the last several decades. NAMBLA has been marching with the San Fran crowd since the 70s.

This case is wierd. He plead guilty on the condition that he not receive jail time. So did the threat of horrible jail time (45 years) convince an innocent man to plead guilty to terrible crimes, or did a guilty man get away nearly completely unscathed with those crimes. Either possibility is a wretched affront to justice.

Five of the incidents that Smith pleaded guilty to involve the police officer sexually assaulting the boys. A sixth incident involved Smith watching one of the boys as he took a shower.
The Newport News Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, in a plea agreement, agreed that Smith would serve no time in prison in return for pleading guilty. Newport News Circuit Court Judge Timothy S. Fisher could have disregarded the plea deal during sentencing, but chose to wholly accept its terms.

BOY!!!!! Fetch me the law for the rich!
A caption for one of my favorite cartoons from "Punch" (the satire
magazine from the UK; it shows a judge, with wig in place, shouting
to a young clerk, while an sunglassed, bling-bling-laden guy is
standing in the dock).
This case is just another reason I don't engage in "class warfare".
Because you don't have to be rich to get "special treatment".

I always wonder if this happens because Mr. Officer has some dirt on some “dignitary”. Not that I’m cynical, or anything like that.

I was stalked and constantly under observation by state patrol of the area in which i live, because i cared for someone. This person happen to be dating a relative of the state patrol. So corruption can run deep and can be used because of so called brotherhood.

Match this story with the one over on Drudge. A man in Farmington Mo. stole one donut and faces five the fifteen years in jail and could get up to thirty because this is his second offense. Our system is broken. I have nothing against a thief getting five years for stealing but a child molester, then, should get life or even death.

The liberal paradise. Where their sex crimes can thrive and the criminal stands a good chance of surviving to do it again and again. Since liberals worship perversion, they naturally want to do away with any restraints, either cultural or legal.
