TAMPA, Fla. Egypt's government is paying for the legal representation of a college student who authorities say was found with pipe bombs near a Navy base, an attorney said Wednesday.
Attorney John Fitzgibbons told a judge he was in talks with the Egyptian embassy in Washington and likely will be hired to represent suspended University of South Florida student Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed.
Ahmed el-Qawassni, an official in Egypt's foreign ministry, said the government is closely monitoring the case and confirmed that an attorney is being hired for Mohamed, who was born in Kuwait to Egyptian parents.
"We are responsible for the sons of Egypt abroad with no exception," el-Qawassni said.

This is a rather strange development in this case - the government of Egypt is paying for the defense of at least one of these perps.

From article:
“On Mohamed’s laptop, according to the FBI agent’s statement, was a video Mohamed made demonstrating how to convert a remote-control toy into a detonator for explosives.
Mohamed told authorities he made the video
****
“to assist those persons in Arabic countries to defend themselves against the infidels invading their countries,” and that he considered American troops to invaders,
****
according to the agent’s statement.
The video was uploaded to YouTube, according to court documents, but it was not clear whether it was ever publicly viewed.”

You mean Wesly and his older brother Ramses? I don’t know, must be a regressive DNA gene that makes them Penn-Heads.

Yes, and now the TSA has just issued a statement that these “toys” will not be allowed in carryon luggage...
This little Goose Creek story is turning into something a lot bigger than originally anticipated.

Penn from Sean Penn mixed with the word Pinhead to form Penn-Head.

Mohamed is here on a student visa but is not enrolled or attending any school.
He considers our military to be Invaders.
He spreads information to aid terrorists in killing American troops.
Why are people like this even allowed in the country?
Why has he been allowed to enter or stay here on a student visa when he is not a student?
Our immigration policies are insane.
We wouldn’t have to rely on ICE to deport people like this if they were not permitted to enter in the first place.

Perhaps it's time to stop the Foreign aid to Egypt ( second highest recipient) since they have so much money they can spend it on lawyers in the US.
