Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) has said broadcasters should be required to give listeners both sides of political issues so voters can make informed decisions.

As Mark Levin would say "Little" Dick Durbin is a Stalinist. He disguises assault on Free Speech rights with the perfect storm of Marxist rhetoric.

Query Dick: Will you apply the same standard to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The LA Times, etc, etc, etc, etc,.......etc.......etc

Kinda sad that free radio needs to be protected from the Government. But hey, they are just looking out for us. Asking talk-shows to show both sides of an issue is like a commercial where you show your product and then invite competitors to show theirs. makes complete sense. Next up is legislation defining the maximum number of sides an issue can have and establishing a cabinet to regulate it. Id like to petition names for the new cabinet post, The Department of Issue Geometry is my suggestion.

Has even one Republican Senator gotten on the floor to defend Rush Limbaugh and expose the lies the Democrats are telling about Rush’s “phony soldiers” comment. That Rush was speaking about one particular indisputably phony soldier named Jesse MacBeth

This is just so scary and disgusting. Hey Dick, how about letting station OWNERS decide what to have on their stations based on the amount of revenue it brings in? No, that would be too much to ask for you you sniveling little communist puss bag. It's not up to you or any of your tyrannical buddies to determine whether or not the content on a privately owned radio stationed is fair or not. You don't like it then don't listen, but HOW DARE YOU try to dictate to me what is acceptable or unacceptable for me to hear on my radio.

I know I shouldn't be surprised by anything a communist (I from now on will refuse to call them democrats) does but this is outrageous! I am so disgusted not only at people like him, but at every single voter who puts people like him into positions of power.

Let’s make it clear what Democrats are doing in one word: CENSORSHIP!

Let’s add one more: STALINISM!

"Little" Dick Durbin is a Stalinist

I imagine at some point a limit will be reached and the old standby of firing squads and hangings will have to be employed to rein the enemy at home in.

I propose to democrats something much better: The rights to switch channel and rights to turn your radio off

WOW! That proves that such equal time for broadcasting voice of the other is totally meaningless!

That’s exactly what is going to bring this effort to silence Rush, Sean, Mark and Michael to a halt. When Levin sues NBC, CBS, the NYT to require equal time, the Lame Stream Media will rebel. Under the equal protection clause these media outlets will be subject to the same rules, or the Talk Radio muzzle will have to be declared unconstitutional. Problem is, if Herself the First is coronated, you can forget about the constitution altogether.

Oh, he’ll gladly apply the same standard...the way all the MSM do already. Just ask them, they’ll prove they show both sides of the issue by trotting out their few conservative talking heads and having them debate the issue (4 loud libs to one cowed conservative).

BTW, Rush played a sound clip from earlier this year, where hildebeast claims that she THE FOUNDER OF MEDIA MATTERS... the group that is pushing these lies. It is also a provable fact that this group is financed by soros. Rush asked the MSM if they were proud to get news from a hillary clinton front group! This is the fact that needs to be hailed until Americans pay attention. hildebeast attacks free speech through her OWN COMMUNIST FRONT ORGANIZATION!

OK. Now it’s clear where the Democrats are going with this. I didn’t expect any action on a fairness doctrine bill until the Dems were sure they could win but looks like they’re going to flog this phony controversy in hopes of shutting down talk radio now. Makes sense from their perspective to silence conservatives on the airwaves before the election.

An INNOCENT American was singled out and verbally attacked by anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-life United States Senators. Unprecedented. The perpetrators are still at large.

RE: will "the same standard [apply] to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The LA Times, etc, etc, etc, etc,.......etc.......etc"

If my memory of the decades of the original "Fairness Doctrine" is correct (and it is) the answer is no. No surprise I am sure.

Conservatives fear that forcing stations to make equal time for liberal talk radio would cut into profits so severely that radio executives would choose to scale back on conservative programming to avoid rising costs and government interference.

Conservatives fear?! Conservatives remember that's how it worked.. that was back then / is today the plan. It didn't start out that way but that's how JFK/LBJ liberals used it.

I remember (suffered?) the effects and there is lot's of documentation. I have not read Mr. Fred Friendly's book, "The good guys, the bad guys and the first amendment: Free speech vs. fairness in broadcasting" but it is described by one reader as about "the effects of the fairness doctrine back in the days of limited media outlets" and how "it also stifled debate, free speech, and limited the marketplace of ideas."

Here's the problem, "in the days of limited media outlets."

Already in the 1980s the courts were ruling that there was no longer "limited media outlets."

So the Rat Party (formerly the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party) Stalinist stalwarts will need a 21st Century version of the "Fairness Doctrine" aimed directly at our free speech. Free speech has always been worth defending with blood against the bad guys. Our free speech, their blood.

That means war. Period.

Dick Durbin only gave one side of the Rush Limbaugh issue. He and the murderer Kennedy and scumbag Schumer lie day after day claiming to tell the truth and then complain about conservative radio, which openly admits having a bias.

I’m really starting to hate these Stalinists.

It’s obvious where this is going.

The commie rats are waiting for a physical attack on a leftist group or leftist hero. The attack will be blamed on talk radio, followed by calls for the censorship of any medium that doesn’t spew the Marxist doctrine.

The tactic worked well for the fascist Germans, and we know the American left borrows tactics liberally from their fascist bretheren.

Phoney Soldier Phoney Story....

The lie is now firmly entrenched.

Perception is reality in Washington DC.

Democrats are now CYAing by obviously LYING about reading the transcript. If they had read the transcript about convicted criminal McBeth they would not be doing this Phoney Controversy.

The Fairness Doctrine is about more than censorship.

It's really about stealing the conservative radio audience and giving it to failed liberal commentators.

Think of the Fairness Doctrine as the Kelo decision for radio. Liberals can't run a competitive radio station because listeners will not tune in over time for their message, nor can their message stand the test of real-time scrutiny by informed listeners. Their only alternative is to take by "eminent domain" the radio audience built up over time by conservative broadcasters. That's why they're trying to force their way onto conservative outlets, and not just running shows like Imus on 77 ABC, but onto every individual show, in order to shove their message onto an audience that they were incapable of building up on their own.
