There is definitely a level of smugness coming from many of the posts, including yours.

If not a '[you] told them so' attitude, it is still very petty to crow over and over that 'this is the consequence of kicking out 'whitey''.

If the European descended Zimbabweans remained in power, and if they kept control over most of Zimbabwe's arable land, Zimbabweans might (probably) not be starving en masse today. Yet it is disgusting that on so many of these Zimbabwe threads that the main trust of so many posts is that the European descended Zimbabweans should not have be expelled from power rather than it is bad that people are starving to death, are being oppressed by a tyrannical regime, and their country is descending toward chaos.

And whose fault is it that the nation of Zimbabwe is under a tyrranical regime and descending into chaos?
(Other than idiots like Carter and other similar commie-pinko-liberal scum, who supported the commie terrorists against Rhodesia?)

Zimbabwe's economic problems are likely to be compounded by a law passed last week that compels many publicly owned companies, including foreign firms, to sell a majority of their equity to black Zimbabweans.

Critics say the legislation amounts to expropriation because it effectively forces the companies to hand over half of their value by taxing them to raise the money to "buy" the 51% stake for black investors approved by the government.

The government has ignored the protests of some foreign investors, including South African banks and mining houses. With the collapse of tobacco production, mining is now the country's largest source of foreign currency.

Zimbabwe's minister of indigenisation, Paul Mangwana, said those companies that do not like it can "pack their bags and go".

"If they feel that we went into the bush [to fight against white rule] for them to enjoy our wealth then they can leave. We are talking about the total liberation of this country. I have no apologies for that," he said.

Not so much the kicking out whitey that is the cause of our smugness, it is the fine example of a workers revolution smashing capitalism and the consequences. I'm reminded of Atlas shrugged when the lights go out in the cities.

not it is not. They should not have been. The entire world was complicit in that travesty - I call it a crime - and now they are appalled at the consequences of Africa reverting to its kind?

People who have never been to Africa, thats who is appalled.

Who in their right mind would be surprised. You?

I hope you do realize that the African nations will not welcome ANY military intervention by western powers. (The UN is worse than useless) It is an African problem that the Africans do not want to solve. Too many are marxist themselves. South Africa is next.
The only whites to blame for Zimbabwe are Peanutd—k and his fellow marxist murderers!
