As the fundraising quarter draws to a close at midnight tonight, candidates are scrambling to boost their numbers by any means necessary (we've received two fundraising pitches signed by candidates with the subject line "Hey," and one from a spouse headed "Re: Hey"). And while he's gotten little attention outside his fervent and fanatic fan base, Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who finished the second quarter with more cash on hand than Sen. John McCain, could have another surprise in store for the media establishment his supporters so often malign.
In the run-up to the filing deadline, Paul's supporters were asked to help the candidate raise $500,000 in just a few days. That's more than former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee raised in the entire first quarter, by the way. Yesterday, the Paul campaign revised its goal -- supporters had raised $850,000 already, and the campaign was shooting for $1 million by midnight tonight.
The campaign reached the $1 million mark last night, a full day ahead of schedule.
Paul won't outraise any of the front-runners, but the frugality with which he is running the campaign, as well as the fervency of his supporters and his presence in Iowa and New Hampshire, mean that he will be one second-tier candidate unwilling to drop out before the nominating process takes its course. Paul could cause some serious problems for the front-runners, and it looks increasingly like he will have the money to compete in at least a few early states.

"During the Six Day War between Israel and the Arab States, the American intelligence ship USS Liberty was attacked for 75 minutes in international waters by Israeli aircraft and motor torpedo boats. Thirty-four men died and 174 were wounded."
"The attack, which was a war crime, has been a matter of controversy ever since. Survivors and many key government officials including Secretary of State Dean Rusk, former JCS Chairman Admiral Thomas Moorer, and nearly every senior American intelligence professional say it was no accident."
I would expect to read this from the Nazi bigots at Stromfront, but educated people know differently.
Moral of the story:
Truth = friendly fire
Lies = Nazi bigotry.
My suggestion to all the anti-Semite bigots out there.
THIS HAPPENED 40 YEARS AGO! THE ONLY REASON TO HANG ONTO THIS INCIDENT IS TO JUSTIFY CONTINUED HATRED.
Until then, please refrain from posting your ignorance until you wise up and get out of the trailer park.
A great many people disagree. Including eleven investigations done is the US.
How does this relate to the Ron Paul campaign?
Is the USS Liberty a major issue for Paul and his associates?
What does Paul intend to do about this absolutely certain deliberate attack?
Do you think you help a candidate by bringing this issue out of the blue to a candidate already being criticized for support from less than credible quarters, racists, white supremecists and conspiracy nuts.
Tie it to the fundraising issue please. Or explain the relevance to the Ron Paul campaign.
IMO the reason is to attract the like minded to Paul.
As an aside, since Kentucky Woman appears not to be here, the Adlai Stevenson, a well known name, accomplished VP, Ambassador, Governor, Presidential candidate, she alluded to was actually his son Adlai III, a Daley groupie, elected once to a Senate seat he was appointed to, and owner of a rather non-descript career. Most sources correctly identify him as Adlai III.
Her other nonsense I won't bother with, though I will invite other Paul supporters to explain the significance of the USS Liberty to the Ron Paul campaign and his supporters.
Yes all of those MSM polls showing Paul with single digit support are indeed worthless. People are on fire for Ron Paul everywhere you go. His grass roots support is so strong that he doesn't really even need any contributions to win. He could easily out raise any candidate in the race if he needed too. The MSM is hoping Ron Paul goes away because he is against fighting wars for no good reason. Anti-Peace moonbats are the real problem here. Armchair warriors who have never been in a war have no room to talk.
Of course it was no accident. The ship was suppose to have been sunk and blamed on the Egyptians. Would have been too if other US ships would have taken longer to arrive. It wasn't solely an Israeli plan though, Johnson was fully behind it. That's the main reason there was nothing done about it, too many corrupt political leaders in our own nation and military were in on it.
scratch a Ron Paul supporter and find wither a conspiracy fruit loop or a racist. The consistent anti-Semitism of RP supporters amazes me.
Once normal people see what RP really says, they never support him again.

You apparently don't realize that even the Centers for Disease Control has conceded that polling methods are obsolete since so few people have landlines now. Paul's supporters are mostly young adults with cellphones. Here's a hint: They're not polled, and the polls don't even include Paul's name anyway, so it's not "scientific."
The rest of your post is hyperbole.
Yes, when destroying the Egyptian air force on the first day the Israelis deliberately spared a few so they could be false flagged and attack the USS Liberty on Lyndon Johnsons orders. Everyone would believe that.
Thank you Alex Jones
To the moderator(s) responsible: thank you for summarily dispatching this wretched, venomous creature to that great, big "Pat Buchanan for President" campaign headquarters in the sky! ;)

Rightfully so.
“The rest of your post is hyperbole.”
When Ron Paul is sworn in as the next President you will think different. He will win with overwhelming support not seen since Reagan won. People can ridicule him all they want, his supporters are real and they are everywhere.
That’s a trick question. They didn’t land, they crashed...
