FREEP this poll! (It's located smack in the middle of DailyPennsylvanian.com)
In light of the recent visit of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Columbia University's campus, do you think it would be appropriate for Penn to invite equally controversial figures to speak to students?
() Yes () No
Of course, notice how they simply refer to Ahmadinejad as "controversial" -- as if he's just another speaker with slightly differing views.
You notice it’s only Ivy League schools who consider this crap? I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again—the Ivy League is nothing but an overrated network of snobby rich people who clearly aren’t as smart as they’re cracked up to be if they think inviting terrorists to their campus is a good idea.
This is a lose lose question. If no wins, they will use the result to ban conservatives. If yes wins, they will use it to invite leftists.
Yes, and I’d like them to invite Bin Laden and Zawahiri, as well to a lovely campus setting here in the U.S. I’d like to have them all at the same time, if it would be convenient. I truly believe we can all learn to get along if we just come together and talk about it.
53% Yes
47% No
Jack.
LOL. Can’t get on to that site right now. Seems to be overloaded?
My niece is an engineering major at UPenn and very much a conservative. I plan to find out what she thinks of this.
52% Yes
48% No as of 12:30PM CDT
Controversial? You mean like conservatives?
FReeped. The poll is now at 50/50.
“no” is now at 51%.
H
53% No as of 2:00PM EST
Now it says 56% NO and 44% YES. It looks better that there are more “No’s”.
