WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Both Republican and Democratic presidential candidates Monday questioned Columbia University's decision to invite Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak at its New York campus.
(snip)
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Monday he finds it "disturbing" Columbia University invited Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to speak before its student body, calling him "the leader of one of the governments that's one of the biggest supporters of terrorism in the world."
(snip)
..former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney... had a new radio ad Monday that called on the United Nations Secretary General to revoke his decision to allow the Iranian leader to speak before the body later this week.

Congressman Duncan Hunter warns Columbia University Cancel Invitation to Iranian President
Tancredo Denounces Ahmadinejad
Did I miss anyone? Who has not stepped up and denounced Ahmadinejad or Columbia U for this treasonous act?
I can’t find any statements from Huckabee or Paul.
How... safe... for them to do it now that the speech is over.
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, also appeared to question the university's decision Monday.
Hillary says:
"If I were the president of a university, I would not have invited him, but I did not express an opinion about the decision made by Columbia,"
Uhh... how does CNN conclude that she questioned the university's decision? Can anyone name any prominent Dem's who condemned Ahmadinejad's appearance at CU?
The President of Columbia used his 15 minutes of fame to upstage student questions, mend fences and do some serious buck-raking. The only reason the candidates should be mad is the Columbia President was the only man in America who could make an as’hole look good.
Um... all of these statements were before the speech -- most, if not all, were before Imanutjob even set foot on US soil.
That was total damage control. He was put on notice not to allow Ahmadinejad to speak there.
Most of them, yes.
bump
And I would still like to know why all over our GOP candidates haven’t made statements.
And thank you to all the candidates that did.
Guiliani did, but it seemed pretty weak next to Hunter's or Thompson's statements.
Yes, Giuliani is in the main posted article.
I’ll take weak over silence.
You'd think that after 9 years, I'd learn to read the articles once in a while...
Romney is also in the main article. Thanks!
Nah, makes it more exciting to do the headline ;)
:)
I actually just skipped to the comments. :)
Still, having the links to their statements cataloged here doesn’t hurt either.
Typical Hillaryspeak.
No, I don’t know one that did - every lefty I’ve heard from thinks it was an affirmation of American free speech to let the terrorist lie.
Well, now I see why Ron Paul didn’t denounce Ahmadinejad!
Ron Paul, go to he11!
