I understand your point, but Fred was doing an quick rebuttal to another candidate's proposal, and doing it on the road. He's also doing it in a "YouTube" style. Granted it may not seem as polished and "professional" as you might want, but a lot of the younger (what is it now; gen X or Y?) 18 ~ 20 somethings, are into those types of ad hoc videos.
Fred does have to appeal to a broad range of people if he's going to win the election. And going after the younger crowd is not a bad thing.
Take a scan through YouTube for Thompson.

This ‘bus’ ad is not up to snuff for Primetime, and not up to YouTube standards.
I want Fred to win, and to get there, he needs an -A- game for that.
Here’s another one that Fred’s people done good on.

This and the Mikey Moore rebuttal....smooth....easy to pass on via email to a fence-sitter.
But the ‘slouch on the bus, tug mah nose’ thing needs to be squelched!
We will have to see what he does. He seems to be trying to cover the bases.
thanks!
When you put it that way you have a pretty good point. Fred should have the smoothest deliveries and production for filmed responses with his recent background.
Why doesn’t anyone say that it’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL? The government cannot force us to purchase something.
Too many, these days, have this view of the Constitution: 1) The federal government is supreme to the states. 2) The Constitution means whatever the courts say it means. 3) The federal government can do ANYTHING that isn't specifically prohibited in the bill of rights. 4) And if it's a "good idea" (meaning, it makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside), then the government SHOULD make us do it. Regarding my last point, I got a look of shock from my lib MomInLaw when I said "just because you think something is a good idea (transfat ban) doesn't mean the gov't actually has the power to enforce it". This just didn't make sense to her.
LOL! Good one.
I'm sure we'll hear it again, in a setting, and with better production values, more to your liking.
Hey, he's running a very different campaign. Using new ideas and technology, in ways never done before for a political campaign. There will be missteps, mistakes, but he's shaking things up, that's for sure.
That Pluto Warming video... That illustrates so well one of the main things I like about Fred.
How many times, on how many subjects, have we expressed frustration on one issue or another where the media lies and the Bush whitehouse just accepts the lie as the status quo, when the lie, to all of us, is so freaking obvious.
And then there’s Fred... stating the OBVIOUS. The obvious that the media covers up and the “Republicans” seem to blitheringly stupid to notice.
Fred’s gotta win. Gotta win, I tell ya!
