"If mothers ruled the world, there wouldn't be any god -" Emmy winner Sally Field said before the Emmycast cut her off her sound and pointed the camera away from the stage so viewers would be distracted. Cut off were the words "g-d d--ned wars in the first place."
"This belongs to all the mothers of the world - may they be seen and valued," she added when she won best actress in a drama series for her work as matriarch Nora Walker on "Brothers & Sisters."

Hearing the "g-d" word really bothers me. The film "Fantastic Four" used it once and it bothered me that a family film would inflict that profanity on an audience of children.

I wouldn’t think Boniva makers would not appreciate her lipping off. When I heard this on the news today I wondered if her grand kids watched her. They muct be proud of g’ma! Guess she didn’t stop and think her grand kids may be watching-no one else was I would bet!!

I’m not sure, but if you google “Greatest Movie line Ever”, you get lots of links. (sorry! not comp savvy)
UTUBE has one also, maybe you can email to yourself from there? I think that would be easiest, and the film is larger and looks better.
What a great clip, lol!

I never watched the Emmys anyway, but the farther away Hollyweird is from us, the better.

Can readily understand you feeling that way. There are many times and places where the GD, eF or other such curse words are not acceptable, but then again, what is one man's pleasure is another man's vice.
I try to watch my language around children and those it would offend, but, gadzooks, nowadays I've been at malls and heard youngsters use words I didn't say out loud until I was married in 1969.
I still remember the first time the eF word came out of a TV set of mine in Houston in 1974. I had an apartment that furnished cable with Channel Z included and they were showing the film M*A*S*H. I had just turned on the tube and walked into the kitchen when I heard John Schuck's Captain Walter 'Painless Pole' Waldowski tell the lineman across from him, "All right, Bub, your eFing head is coming right off!"
My mother was visiting and she said, "Did I hear that correctly?"
Yes, Mom... you sure did!

Sally Field believes there would be no war if mothers were in charge of the world (hinting for Hillary of course).
Yet,if she looks at what we are fighting in radical Islam, mothers have trained their own sons to kill. Women in Islam are chattel, so only if the women of Islam are allowed to become full human beings with equal rights and educated, maybe the statement Sally Field made could not have been a total joke.
Thus far, the abuse of women all over Islam should be alarming to a concerned person like Sally Fields, the abuse of women should not be overlooked so she could say something silly on prime time TV.

Reminded me of a favorite quote: "It's queer how out of touch with truth women are. They live in a world of their own, and there has never been anything like it, and never can be. It is too beautiful altogether, and if they were to set it up it would go to pieces before the first sunset. Some confounded fact that we men have been living contentedly with ever since the day of creation would start up and knock the whole thing over.

Sally Field believes there would be no war if mothers were in charge of the world (hinting for Hillary of course).Of course Sally had no problem with Billy's War on Yugoslavia. Cause as Janeane Garofalo said, "It just wasn't cool to protest Clinton's wars."
