Nothing New Under The Sun
Years before 9/11, we tragically forgot these and other similar history lessons, dropping our guard to a monumentally shocking end. When 3,000 innocent American citizens were brutally murdered by parasitic pirate counterparts, we were delivered a devastating wakeup call. We relearned the same lessons from the Barbary Powers Conflict: that despite negotiations and even bribes, Muslim extremists are still engaged with America in a jihad or holy war.
Islamo-facism continues to seek to rob us of our liberties, cripple us by fear and destroy our country. Proof is found by simply asking how many of us will still not fly on 9/11. They've stolen a day of liberty from our calendar. Let's not allow them to seize another.
And they won't – as long as we stay resilient, learn from the lessons of history and remember the God of 911, Psalm 91:1 that is, for "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."

This is not World War IV. This is World War Zero, and has been going on for a Thousand years.

Norris is right as far as he has taken this. But when
Columbus sent out on his journey it was to find a way
around the bloody Muslims (for the China trade) And when
the Ottoman Turks sided with the Germans in WW I we had to
break their sword again. And when the unresolved bitterness of that War to end all Wars bled into WW II we
had to break their sword again. Norris said it took 30 years the first time -do we think we can do it in six?
I submit they have been at war with us before we ever were.
That's some new revisionist history.
They were pirates who demanded tribute of people passing through 'their' waters. Akin to trolls or gangs. When people didn't pay the tribute, they were kidnapped. The British paid off these pirates so that their merchants could ply those waters. When the United States achieved independence, their merchant ships were no longer protected by the British ransom/tribute. Americans were kidnapped, and instead of paying off the pirates, the United States crushed them.
Religion was not much an issue. There are many Muslim pirates today; few consider them to be islamofascists.

It is very much a religious issue.
Islam is a violent cult aimed at Arab political domination that has made its livelihood off robbery, extortion and kidnapping since its inception. The Barbary pirates, while not specifically devoting themselves to “jihad,” were doing it just as surely as the London bombers or others of today. The capturing of non-Muslims and selling them into slavery, or holding them for ransom, has been a mechanism for funding the armies of Mohammed for 1400 years. Mohammed was a bandit, and his cult is a bandit cult.
When the Crusades retook parts of the Holy Land, it is estimated that they released some 90,000 Christian slaves. Entire religious orders were founded in the Middle Ages to ransom Christians captured by the Muslims in the Mediterranean.
Everything Muslims do is part of their “jihad” or supports it. Jefferson realized this and responded. We have to realize it, too, and not let them reestablish themselves as the terror of the seas, the skies, or any other part of the world.
