We just delivered this cake to the fire station here. The fireman who was at the station gave us a tour. He let the kids get inside the newest fire truck. He showed us all the hoses and explained what they were used for. He demonstrated a new tool/toy they just got. It sees through walls and shows electrical lines...it also shows flesh as white light so they can find people through smoke. He showed us the jaws of life, and where all their gear is stored.
The kids sang to him "Oh Mr. Fireman, always has a job to do...from all of us kids to all of you guys, just thank you for being you...thank you for being you!"
It was a very enjoyable visit!
And the cake? It looks yummmmmmy!

I bet the kiddo's outdid the likes of Frank Sinatra and Beverly Sills when singing too! : )
It was lots of fun. The fireman was very pleased and looks forward to having the other firefighters come in and share the cake. He was there by himself, so he was enjoying showing off all the toys and gadgets to us!
We have another cake here... same kind. Crys just finished decorating it! I got pictures and will load them up soon to share. It’s her first time decorating a cake, and I think she did great! They love honoring firefighters and police officers with that song. I may be biased, but I think my kiddos sound fabulous when they sing THAT song!

Why here in Minnesota it takes an 8 inch stick in the lawn to hit water instead of the usual 6 inch stick.

This one is for the family to enjoy. I personally think we should have taken it to the firefighters or the police station. The kids outvoted me. They wanted some cake for our dessert. :)

The green lawns appear to be mostly or all automatic sprinklers. Enforcers overlook it for some reason I can’t fathom. They are private residences...

That we are....I know I was whining earlier about lack of rain, but it needs to stop fairly soon as the water table is up and we don’t want freezing pipes in a couple months.
