Three Islamist Terror Suspects Arrested in Germany

According to information obtained by SPIEGEL ONLINE, the three men were Daniel S. from the state of Saarland and Fritz G. from Neu-Ulm in Bavaria, both of whom are German converts to Islam, as well as Adem Y., who is believed to be from Turkey. The three, who had apparently founded a terrorist cell, have been under intensive investigation for several months. All three men were considered radical Islamists and had contact to Islamist groups in Germany and Pakistan.

Yes, it is so brilliant to let millions of people into your country that belong to a killing religion that main tenant is to conquer the world through your death if necessary.

Not to mention that it is incompatible with democracy and allows no freedom for its women who are nothing but slaves. So by allowing for mass immigration of muslims into democratic countries we are bringing about civil war in the future, no ifs ands or buts, when the numbers are strong enough in their favor it will happen....period.

If nothing else learn from history or take time to learn the religion unless you are nothing but a propagandist for the muslims. Then you just look like a fool.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “BEIRUT — The Lebanese authorities have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with a plan to bomb two trains in Germany and have filed preliminary charges against five Lebanese and a Syrian, judicial sources said on Saturday.

Four of the Lebanese are in Lebanese custody, while one Lebanese and the Syrian are in Germany, they added.

They face charges of attempted mass murder in passenger trains in Germany and attempted arson, they said.

The sources named the fourth suspect as Khalil al-Bubbu but gave no details of his arrest. The others are Jihad Hamad, Khaled Kheireddin al-Hajj, Ayman Hawa, Youssef al-Hajj and Fadi al-Saleh, the Syrian. The last two are in Germany.

The latest legal step falls short of the formal indictment process, which comes at a later stage, and the investigations could turn up other suspects, the sources said.”

If the targets were mostly American military in Germany, the Germans will merely say that they are targeted because of the US presence, won't they?

Something big is in the works worldwide. I have this gut feeling that we are seeing security probing by some terrorist organization, and that it is all leading up to a major assault on U.S. military personnel and dependents on and near U.S. bases worldwide. When I checked my ping list this morning, I found an update on the case against two Islamic students who were arrested on bomb charges in Goose Creek, South Carolina recently. The case in Goose Creek was just a few miles from the Naval Weapons Station and Goose Creek is home to many USN personnel. They were heading away from the NWS at the time of arrest, but their automotive GPS (which a family member said they have) may well show they drove through it. That could explain the terrorism charges the feds brought and the transfer of the defendants to the USN Consolidated Brig in Hanahan SC (my home town, BTW). The housing and shopping areas of the base are not secure (as the weapons and training areas are), so it is a “soft” military target.

When I saw this article on my ping list, I also saw this one: “Back-to-School Bomb Threats: At Least 13 U.S. Universities Targeted.” One of these bomb threats had just happened at Clemson when I was there for the game Monday evening. Clemson, like just about every other major university in the U.S., has three active ROTC programs on campus (USN/USMC, USAF, and USA). Another soft U.S. military target. These calls may be pranks, or they may either be probes of our security response or “cries of wolf” to make people less likely to respond properly due to threat fatigue. They may also be a ruse to deflect security officers from the location of a real potential attack to the location of a “red herring” threat.

Finally, I wake up this morning and read of a busted terror plot in Germany near Ramstein Air Force Base. This, also, is a place where there are many U.S. military personnel and dependents, often in “soft target” areas.

Now I would really like to know if the people just arrested in Denmark were near any U.S. military-related targets or if they had plans to travel to any such targets, say, on September 11, 2007?

I expect the terror threat level to go to Red any time now. Something big is planned for September 11, 2007. I would guess it will be a coordinated series of bombings (suicide, car, roadside, etc.) in the military personnel and dependent areas of various U.S. military bases worldwide.

Any military personnel or families out there better be on your toes next Tuesday.

Islamist terrorists have a pattern of attacking late in a presidential administration. They probably think the waning president will delay any retribution late in his term, and the incoming president would be uneasy about retaliating for an attack during that previous president's term. [USS Cole and African embassies]

They also have a pattern of attacking early in a new president's term. That is to test his/(possibly her) mettle in dealing with terrorist attacks. [WTC attack 1993, WTC attack 2001]

That could indicate that we will see more and bigger attempts, especially during 2008 (final year of the Bush presidency) and 2009 (first year of the new administration).
