The Boston Globe has a fawning Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous-ish profile of Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera. In between musing about his favorite pair of soft Uggs (”I’ve worn these in Tora Bora and Somalia,” he says, admiring the suede slip-ons with the sheepskin lining. “They’re so comfortable. I love them.”), his “36-foot Hinckley powerboat,” and his massive estates (including “Seagate, the spectacular, 10-bedroom estate he bought several years ago with his fourth wife” and another “Kennedy-esque compound” with his current wife), he spews this:
Rivera, who as a fledgling lawyer in the ’70s counseled the Puerto Rican nationalist group the Young Lords, says he can’t stomach the politicians and pundits who are stoking “anti-immigrant hysteria,” and his antipathy extends to some of his colleagues at Fox.
“Michelle Malkin is the most vile, hateful commentator I’ve ever met in my life,” he says. “She actually believes that neighbors should start snitching out neighbors, and we should be deporting people.
“It’s good she’s in D.C. and I’m in New York,” Rivera sneers. “I’d spit on her if I saw her.”
That’s not immigration Heraldo, that’s colonization.

That is the analogy I use with people who can’t grast the difference. I say that the native American Indians did not see a problem when the first Europeans landed. But later....
Hey Geraldo...stop with the threats.
First of all you wouldn’t DARE to spit on Michelle Malkin. That would be considered assault. She could sue the pants off you “heaven forbid.”
Second of all...you KNOW the publicity reigning down on your head would be less than desireable.
Third: Our military are fighting for HER RIGHT to free speech SAME AS YOURS!!! OR do you think in your own tiny little mind that only YOU can say what YOU like? Hmmmm?
Fourth: Go ahead and try it next time you see Ms. Malkin. Just try it. Actually, go ahead and follow through with your threat and let’s just see where it gets you and how big a man you are afterwards.
Face it Geraldo...you’re a showboat and nothing else. A sensationalist is all. So...be quiet and stop making an ass out of yourself.
Thank God Ms. Maulkin has more courage, dignity and intelligence than this self serving jerk. She’s also a better reporter, speaker and professional than Geraldo is or ever will be.
...and if he did spit on her, I have a feeling that she would “you know what”-slap him like that wrestler slapped John Stossel the one time.
Meanwhile, we still wait for the first Geraldo supporter (of the many) to show his face here...
But of course Geraldo has been on tv many time opposite of Michelle Malkin (MickeyMal) and of course he has never found it within himself to say this to Michelle. This is typical of liberals who are ususally gutless.
He should be fired. This is far worse than anything Don Imus said.
I lived on Cape Cod when Rivers was married to and/or shacked up with Vonnegut’s daughter Becky(IIRC) over in W. Barnstable and knew people who claimed to shoot heroin with them. He was Jerry Rivers then, AFAIK.
FNC is more likely to give him a raise than fire him. This is what they’ve become.
The sooner conservatives realize this and start tuning out in large numbers, the better.
The funniest interview Geraldo ever did was with Charlie Manson. Manson shuffled in all shackled, legs, waist and hands, 125 lbs of dripping wet menace and sardonic psuedo-phlilosophy. When he sat the screws bolted his leg irons to the floor so he couldn't move if he wanted to. After the usual witty reparte (as you can imagine with these two), the interview ended with Jerry squaring off on his side of the table and taunting Chuckin' Charlie, "Come on, Charlie, you want a piece of me?"
I almost pissed myself laughing.
That sounds right for Geraldo. A big tough guy blow hard who knew Charlie couldn’t get out of his seat. What a loser. Beware of those who try to make themselves look all puffed up...they deflate easily.
Spot On,Madam! Amoebas don’t normally grow into much of anything! Personally, I’d love to slap the taste outta his mouth! Maybe we should have shut the “vault” when we had the chance?

I knew a girl from Peru once a few years back. She said in the other Spanish speaking nations Mexicans were considered the white trash of the Hispanic world and highly looked down upon. Didn’t know what to really say to that, but that is the perspective down there.
