If it keeps on tracking like that, much of the center stays over drier, more mountainous land for a long way.

Would that be better? I was thinking it would cause more damage.

That’s why IMO a terrible disaster is about to happen. Thousands of people killed in flooding, mudslides over the next two days.

I mean graze the coast like Dean grazed Jamaica.

I honestly don't know what Nicaraguans/Hondurans escape plan is - to the mountains? Hunker down? Their leaders have issued no statements that I've heard.

Well maybe not. Some of us thought Mexico would be worse.

Felix has kinda proven himself terraphobic and he's been bending steering currents for days. There still may be a 10% chance in Heaven that land will repel him. I hope.

Very detailed television coverage about the storm—for those Hondurans who have televisions.

Here is an update to your ‘email’ post from Roatan (#565)

http://stormcarib.com/reports/current/honduras.shtml

I hope it’s ok I posted it. I’ve been following this storm all day, and ‘Penny’s’ post on stormcarib hit me in the gut. They are in very serious danger.

I pray they all come out of this safely. yorkie

A vivid report about the stress associated with hurricane preparation. Thanks for posting the link here. She was remarkably upbeat toward the end with news the storm will likely make landfall south of their location on Roatan.

I'll bet they will appreciate their three big dogs guarding their jewelry shop following the storm.

I emailed her today, and told her where I found her ‘addy’, and that there were many, many prayers for them all. It made me grab for the kleenex, when I read how much the emails meant to her.

It sure brings it close to home, when you read the raw gut feelings from someone so close to disaster.......
